Not winning scoring only 1 run, so it probably didn’t make a difference, but I can tell you there were some confused, upset supporters that never will understand that decision.
Kid was ready and expecting to pitch.
Best I can tell from the little I was able to gather, the decision was made Sunday by the only person that mattered.

Seems like I saw where some of the games were being broadcast on the radio. Would the U-high game be one of them? If so, link to stream maybe?

The only game I heard on radio was the very end of OC vs AC semifinal on 92.5 out of Ville Platte.
I think it was just a local thing for that game.

Typically, yes. However to beat Ouachita Christian, you throw the slowest guy you have that can throw strikes. Central Catholic did that several years ago and beat them. They typically see everyone's Ace game in and game out. Unless he is Nolan Ryan, you won't be throwing anything they haven't seen 30+ times a season.
