Isn't the Knight family at LCA like the JT Curtis Family at Curtis? ...I mean LCA is the almost the exact same format as John Curtis

That would be a violation of LHSAA rules. Typically they have hardship scholarships available and they are available to all students they accept if they meet the criteria.

Not at all. Closer to the Evangel model. There is no Knight family like there is an actual Curtis family at John Curtis. The Pastor's last name is Miller, his father founded the church and started the school back in the 70s I think.

It was a pretty blatant offensive pushoff on that 4th down prayer. With the penalty SCC would have been forced to punt.

I'm a former LCA parent and that was painful but congrats to the Cougars, they did not give up and made the plays when they had to.
Great game for both teams.
That district is brutal and 3 teams from it made the state semis in Select II, two in the finals, and 1 made it to the Semis in Non-Select I and lost to Destrehan. A 5th made it to Non-Select II quarters losing to West Feliciana.
ETA that 5th team is the result of too many teams making the playoffs.

I would say that it does sometimes seem like a lot of superior high school athletes do live in impoverished circumstances.

He’s up there. His problem is that he’s overshadowed by bigger legends like JT Curtis, Red Franklin, and Don Shows.
