They would be a top 10 team in all of Louisiana but I wasn't overwhelmed by them. West Monroe ran the ball up the middle 95% of the time. Didn't throw any slants, dumps to TE, screens, nothing. The defense played great IMO as every scoring drive started in WM territory. The offense had 2 OL out including the center and it definitely affected play calling.

Rummel will go farther in the playoffs then central or catholic. And it's not even close. Book it
You sound pretty confident in that. You must not have seen Rummel struggle against denham springs.

To be fair, we can't predict who will go further until the brackets are released.
Posted on 10/28/12 at 8:12 pm to JJ27
it will take a major upset to knock out Rummel, WM, or Barbe before the semis...
now who will be the fourth?
Catholic, Central, Jesuit, South Lafourche, Ouachita, and St. Paul's are the possibilities
the most shocking bad teams in 5A are 2-5 Higgins and 0-8 John Ehret

At least 1 if not 2 of these teams will not be in the semifinals. I definitely do not see Barbe making it. They always seem to have a lot of hype and don't do much with it.

Barbe has also been eliminated by teams from the monroe district how many times?
Posted on 10/28/12 at 9:03 pm to bubbz
Barbe has been good the last couple of years. They just lost to West Monroe.

When do the brackets come out, maybe next Sunday? Enjoying the season, but it sure has come and gone very quickly.

Yes they come out Sunday.

Don't underestimate Catholic's passing game. While Catholic QB Nick Coomes only threw one TD pass against St. Amant, two TD passes were dropped by a wide open receiver. Catholic's running game demands respect, which opens up all sorts of play action possibilities. Looking forward to game against a really good Dutchtown team

BR teams always choke in the playoffs. No one is scared of Catholic, and no one is especially scared of Central

No offense dude, but don't confuse winning district games to being a state title contender... Everybody can win a league game or 2

You know it all don't you?
If I remember correctly Central knocked off #1 st Paul last year in the first round. Central was young last year. Teams better be prepared. Central also beat st Thomas more this year. STM beat barbe and lost by 3 to evangel. I hope these teams have your attitude.

It makes me laugh when people respond so defensively to a post, especially since I didn't offend any other team, just applauded my team. I didn't even mention the playoffs earlier, but since you brought it up....yes, it will be nice to host at least one playoff game! Who knows how well we will do in the playoffs, but I do know that nobody wants to play Catholic right now!

Whats funny is some of these people bashing catholic and the other br schools are from a district that hasn't won state since regan was president

Boom! Central or Catholic will beat Rummel any day of the weak. History proves that these new Orleans schools are over rated. As of now 6 of the 9 teams Central has played will make the playoffs. Live oak is Friday and they are In as of now.

Probably don't want to go that route.

I'm not even sure why we are wasting our time bringing up catholic. They aren't a contender.
