Yea Lebron

He got all the vets he wanted

You must've missed the LeBron spin that was released recently, where it was stated by his mouthpiece that LeBron gives input but doesn't have final say on roster moves, and the vet thing was Magic's idea...

I still don't understand why Magic Johnson was ever allowed to be President of the Lakers to begin with.

Now maybe Magic will have more time to spend with his son.

LA Times is reporting that ESPN has been working for months on a story about Magic’s volatile management style including allegations of misconduct towards employees

Jerry is 80. After the Clippers stint I think he's done.

Would make a lot more sense if he knew this was coming out and wanted to get ahead of it.

Still is hilarious that the lakers made the decision to hire him and give him the reigns in the first place

Meh. I was fine with it because of his clout plus I thought Magic would basically be a figurehead while Pelinka does the real legwork.

I wouldn’t mind seeing Pelinka exit stage left considering how hated by GM’s and other agents around the league.

Magic’s main skill at this point in his life is schmoozing.

He can sell you a rat’s a-hole for a wedding ring if you don’t call him out on his bullshite, but he hasn’t done a lick of work in 30 years since his retirement from what I can tell. He’s had JOBS, like coaching the Lakers, hosting The Magic Hour, being POBO of the Lakers, but he doesn’t know what the frick he is doing and doesn’t want to put the effort in to learn his craft.

This is a guy who got the largest tampering fine in NBA history and still wondered why the league was picking on him for it whenever he fricking did it again.

Just me...I don’t think Magic ever had HIV. I think the NBA wanted to take a stand on HIV and asked Magic to be their spokesperson.

I think it was all a scam to get young people thinking about sexual promiscuity and drugs.

This my be the most idiotic thing I've ever read on this site.

The problem with canning Pelinka is finding a replacement.

The entire franchise is a dysfunctional mess right now, at every level, and any new GM would have to navigate the bullshite of Jeannie Buss and LeBron on top of trying to build a roster where the current players are divided and LeBron’s bullshite severely limits your potential FA signings.

Even if Jerry West crosses the hall to leave the Clip Show for the shite Show, he himself says he is too old to be doing GM / POBO work and would be a consultant instead.

David Griffin available?

He did a good job with LeBron in Cleveland and Lebron loved him. Still don't understand why Gilbert wouldn't pay the man..

Griffin is available. He just interviewed with the Pels but won’t be a finalist for the job.

He’s probably the one who came across as a know it all who rubbed everyone the wrong way, which would explain why Gilbert didn’t retain him.

They had young talent and could never develop it. The two players they drafted high and got rid of (Deangelo Russell and Julius Randle) both got better as soon as they left.

The Lakers organization isn't set up for growing young talent. They are meant to be a destination for big FA go to. Hasn't been that way in years. Lebron came and started it back. If they land one big FA this summer, they are golden. If not. The rest of Lebrons career is gonna be pretty depressing, at least as a Laker.

I’ll rephrase his comment.

LeBron didn’t try to tank things, LeBron tried to be LeBron and it bit them all in the arse this time around.

LeBron has a history of being the shadow coach and shadow GM in addition to being the star player and he always avoided blame when things went wrong due to his frickups until this season.

The chemistry issues and trade scenarios were all of a result of Magic. as much as you want to believe LeBron caused the rift it's not true

the young guys love LeBron and are constantly giving him praise on IG

Its becuase Jeannie Buss is borderline tard like her brother

Imagine Jerry West asking to join and save the franchise and you say no go get fricked I'm going with Magic

Then seeing him walk across the street to Ballz office and taking the Clips to a new level

Even Shaq is calling for them to hire him

Lol at lil bro
