I honestly thought McDaniels would do a better job than he did, but he was too small/weak. Luka dropped a shoulder and went right by him

Actually I retract a little. OKC held Luka to 25 ppg and lost every game he exceed that average. That is terrific containing Luka (his three straight triple doubles to close out notwithstanding).
Lu Dort ain’t walking through that door

I feel like Minnesota has to make changes for next game. They got huge performances from their supporting cast, got weak performances from Dallas supporting case, made 3x the 3pointers, and still lost.
They're gonna have to rotate somebody else onto Kyrie. Ant was dead after chasing him around the court and he wasn't that effective anyways. It can't be Conley. So you're gonna have to see less Conley or less Naz/Gobert/KAT to get another athletic guard/wing on the court to guard Ky, or put Edwards on Luka and slide somebody else onto Kyrie. That being said, if they didn't have Gobert creating an extra 10 scoring opportunities on offensive rebounds or tips/extending plays, they would have been ran out of the building. Naz provides length on defense and scoring. KAT is your cornerstone you built around. What else do you do? Feel like it's gotta be taking Conley off, now you don't have a PG.

Every NBA analyst took the Clippers in round 1, OKC in round 2 and Minn in the West finals
Love it

This isn’t remotely true, but I enjoy the chip on your shoulder attitude

100% agree. I feel like they got away with a bad Ant offensive game in game 7 because he was so good against Murray defensively, but chasing Kyrie around just isn’t gonna work.
He’s gotta save himself a little bit for offense.

Who is going to stop Luka in this series? Dort is probably the best Luka defender and he ain't walking through that door for Minny.
Minny doesn't really have anyone who can play like a FB bulling his way through screens over and over like Dort. It was probably part of why Luka was able to take over in the 4th tonight.

Honestly I think you can live with Luka getting his 30-35 a game because frankly I don’t think you have a choice.
But minny didn’t seem to bother Kyrie nearly as much as OKC did. They have to contain Kyrie or they will see the exit real quick.
I'm pretty sure their game plan was living w/Luka and Kyrie scoring while shutting down the 3 point shooting from the Mavs role players. It did work to a degree as the Mavs shot like shite from deep.
No idea when the last time a team won a game in the playoffs hitting only six 3s but I'm sure it's been quite a while.

Murray put up 35 in Game 7. Denver lost that game because Gordon, MPJ and Caldwell-Pope put up 16 total points in 116 combined minutes
Dallas clinching in six last round was so huge for that extra rest. I'd like to know how many times a team has been outscored by 35+ points from three and won a game. I can't stand Draymond, but he is right about Gobert. No way can you be DPOY and allow two centers to go 9-of-13 and allow 62 points in the paint. I know that's not ALL on him but changes need to be made but I don't know if there's enough.
Their problem is Ant has to guard Kyrie because you sure as hell aren't going to put Conley on him unless you're fine with him getting 45 and like someone else said, McDaniels doesn't have the body type to bump with Luka all game

People love to jump on the T Wolves hype and Ant is insane so i get it
But that being said....
Its tough being all over this one.
As far as the series goes idk--i think it was a great game and the wolves played well but i also think we have seen their best.
I think Mavs get it done in 6. X factor remains to be Kyrie and then obvi attempting to slow down ant as much as possible

You right. I was thinking about the D he played in the 4th quarter, but I guess he played pretty decent defense last night as well in the 4th.
But he was just so exhausted and Minny doesn’t have enough creators for him to be that tired.
