As for the lockerroom thing, at the end of the day the NFL is a business and these guys are competitive animals. If he can come in and do his job and help the team be successful, thenhell get along just fine.

I have a hard time believing a group out college kids could easily accept this but grown arse NFL players would be totally ignorant to it and shun him.

I knows it's probably been said but what happens if he goes undrafted? Protests? Riots? Lawsuits?

Part 1: Sam announces he is openly gay...ESPN celebrates.

Part 2: Sam is drafted lower than previously thought...ESPN vilifies league execs. for not being ready to adjust to this new era. ESPN cries.

Part 3: Sam makes the final roster...ESPN celebrates.

Part 4: Sam gets in a scrum and a camera catches a player sucker punch him...ESPN vilifies the offending culprit...ESPn cries.

Part 5: ESPN catches Incognito giving a cheap shot to Sam after the whistle...ESPN vilifies the dirty white homophobic player with a bad reputation. ESPN proclaims that society is doomed....and then they cry.

ESPN will now put his entire career under a microscope for better or worse. He is now their property...they will tell you everything you need to know (in their opinion) about Sam. ESPN's adoring sheeple will absorb it all and take their word for it. He will never be just a guy in the league.

But Tebow brings nutjobs who demand he should play. I don't see an army of activists demanding this dude starts.

Dude there are people saying that the NBA is homophobic because Jason Collins' old arse isn't with a team. Granted they are in the minority and basketball doesn't have the broad appeal as the NFL.
Now take a top college athlete about to enter the most popular sports league in this nation and see what happens.

My own personal opinion on this is who cares? It seems most gay folks don't want all of the attention. They just want to live their lives in peace. I can respect that. Their lifestyle doesn't appeal to me, but hey live and let be. Seems like these athletes coming out would make it a big deal when if they really cared about their cause (which is the public not caring about or having any negative feelings towards their lifestyle), then they wouldn't draw attention to it.

Take your stupid glasses off for a minute and realize that my post is a comment on how ESPN will use Michael Sam as a pawn for their agenda. It has nothing to do with being white, black, or gay.

In other words, it's a comment on the sad state of the media.
