They will need someone to fill the injured, overpaid role once Stanton is off payroll

Did the Braves trade Grissom and Contreras? The Braves farm system doesn’t have a top 100 prospect for this trade. The only way it works if the Braves trade from their MLB team.

A’s are pretty set as far as catching prospects so the third team makes sense. Guessing Milwaukee is still sending something else to Oakland other than what’s reported so far

What Atlanta gave up is fine for Murphy. Murphy is really good, a trade like that is gonna hurt. I’ll be stunned if Milwaukee isn’t sending something else though

I think Anthopoulous is drunk this offseason. The Braves need so many other things besides an upgrade at catcher (where they were as good as anyone last year).

Trade is finalized. On paper, it EASILY looks like the worst deal AA has made since he's been the Braves GM.
