just think he’s a contrarian a-hole that the commissioner hates, and a lot of GMs will be hesitant to add that to their locker rooms.
I don't know - I think owners teams would live with the contrarian a-hole part - it's the other stuff the twitter mobs who are taking over these types of narratives that would scare them because of the publicity they would get.

Pitchers always get hurt. And there's always a shortage of pitching. So I'd be surprised if he wasn't signed at some point during the season.

But the narrative for Bauer has been so loud that any team that attempts to sign him will face the full force of the cancel culture mobs
Everyone hates the Astros already, we'll take him to fill Verlanders spot

Near the end of the 2021 season there was several articles put out about MLB spearheading a potential partnership deal with the NBA and NHL for in market streaming access as soon as 2023. Well we're into 2023 a few months from the MLB season and it appears nothing has developed.
Following the 2021 articles, the most recent information I can find came last month from a NY Post story that says the partnership had been interested in acquiring the financially hemorrhaging Bally Networks for $3 billion including debts but the Sinclairs Diamond Sports financial outlook is poor and it appears they're headed towards bankruptcy so the leagues don't want to pay a premium for an entity they could scoop out of bankruptcy.
Another year of ridiculous blackouts it appears.

All the stinking ads are so bad now, I enjoy the radio broadcasts almost just as much.
