And then 2 decades later the stadium is deemed “too old”. And then the shitbag owner takes the team away. I hope all the stadiums built in the last 10-15 years last longer than their predecessors.

Looking back, I don’t know why Davis took the Raiders back to Oakland. He left one dump of a stadium to go to another to share with the Athletics. And pay a fee to go there. And then 2 decades later his son was right back where he was before needing another stadium. He probably could have had a better stadium in LA then than having to be a co tenant with the Athletics all those years in that ugly dump. And the value of his team in LA would be considerably higher than in Oakland.

@Buster_ESPN: Baseball execs are baseball fans at heart, and they wonder, too, about where Bryce Harper and Manny Machado will sign. Most common guesses -- informed speculation -- that I've heard from folks within the game: Machado to the Phillies, Harper back to the Nationals.

IMO, I don't think Harper gets that much more than what the Nats offered him towards the end of the season. If they up their offer to make it around 32-33 annually, I could definitely see him back in a Nats uniform. With the way contracts have been handed out recently, teams are just shying away from those albatross type contracts. I wouldn't go over 35 annually but it would have to be for 8 or less years... and I'd still be hesitant.

@jonmorosi: Sources: #Dodgers and #Indians trade talks remain ongoing this week, as @Ken_Rosenthal first reported. If a deal is reached, a Cleveland starter — Kluber, Carrasco or Bauer — likely would go to L.A. @MLBNetwork @MLB

Would have to think an ML OF is headed back to Cleveland as part of that deal. Puig or Taylor possibly

Maybe Verdugo since he’s near ready

I'd guess Verdugo as the main centerpiece as they're in need of a long term CF'er. Dustin May and Edwin Rios both make sense too as the Dodgers have a glutton of options at those spots. I can actually see this happening.

There is significant momentum toward a deal that would send Robinson Cano and Edwin Díaz from the Seattle Mariners to the New York Mets, league sources tell Yahoo Sports. While they characterize a deal as not done yet, there is an increasing expectation a trade will get finished.

I think this is the most likely outcome as well

Since Bauer was being mentioned earlier, cool little video of his arm slot on his three pitches:

Probably a good reason as to why his numbers improved so much

I say trade allard, inciarte, gohara, and fried for kluber..move acuna to cf...sign a corner of to a mutually friendly deal like the Donaldson contract...cutch for 2 years at 15-18 a year let carmargo play rf till mid April bring pache up...then move acuna back to left L, pache in cf and cutch in right..let minter be the closer and if need be move on a closer at the deadline

Agree

Pache is nowhere near this close to the big leagues.

This is really, really awful by the Mets, especially if they end up trading Sydergaard at his lowest value in years to replenish the minors.

Just mind numbingly dumb unless Ms are kicking in huge $$$
