So Indians trade Mejia at the deadline bc he was blocked by Gomes and now deal Gomes? Who’s catching for them now?
Perez.
The MSB likes to point out the Indians attendance is shitty and this right here is why.
Ownership cutting a club friendly contract to save a few bucks. We've seen this movie before.

I like the Astros in the AL West next year.
Rangers are rebuilding
Seattle is in a fire sale
Angels are in a perpetual state of mediocre wheel spinning
Oakland would figure to be the main competition but I never bought into their rotation. Can they repeat last year's success?

The AL is a complete nam flashback disaster outside of like three teams

@Feinsand: Sources say the Mets have spoken with the Indians about Corey Kluber. The two teams had talked about Yan Gomes before he was dealt to the Nationals, but the Mets' interest now appears to also extend to Kluber, who had Mets manager Mickey Callaway as a pitching coach in Cleveland.

Put a bunch of eggs in one basket, watch them crack.

I have no idea what the Mets are doing and I love it.

They're going for it, I'll give them credit for that

They should. DeGrom, Thor, Wheeler, Matz is still formidable add Diaz, kept McNeil, Cano can play first. If Cespedes ever shows again they have pieces. Actually were decent in the second half last yr.
Window should be now. No one in that division is unbeatable. Idk what's up with Kluber though

This offseason they either had to rebuild or try to win now. They only have one year of control of Wheeler, 2 years of deGrom, and 3 years of Thor and Conforto. They’re basically in the same position the White Sox was a few years ago. I would rather do what the White Sox did but maybe the Mets don’t think they can beat the Braves and Phillies in a few years. I think the Mets think these next 2 years are the years they can beat the Braves and Phillies.

Once Cano-Diaz to #Mets is official, #Mariners have next deal lined up. Team is in serious talks on a trade that would send shortstop Jean Segura to Philadelphia, sources tell The Athletic. Segura holds full no-trade clause, and would need to approve the deal.

DiPoto's biggest test will be trying to dump Kyle Seager's dumbass contract. Who thought it was a good idea to give that guy $100 million? He's got 3 years $57.5 million remaining. He's not a black hole offensively but he's not worth $19 a year.
Posted on 12/2/18 at 11:17 pm to Lsuhoohoo
They 100% have to move Haniger at this point right? He’ll bring in their biggest haul and they’ve gotten rid of every other player with talent already
This could be the biggest blow up of a team in an offseason in recent memory

@jonmorosi: Jean Segura trade to #Phillies is agreed upon pending review of medical information, source confirms. J.P. Crawford is going to Seattle in the deal. I do not know the additional players, if any, who are involved. Segura is expected to waive his no-trade clause. @MLB @MLBNetwork

7 years for $100mil was an absolute steal for the Mariners. Fangraphs has his WAR $ value at $113mil over the last 4 years.
Saying that I definitely wouldn’t want him for the rest of it

Dodgers give Roberts a 4 year deal.

For a solid month now, the pursuit of free agent outfielder Bryce Harper, centered mainly around a trio of east coast franchises — in Washington, Philadelphia and the Bronx — with the financial wherewithal and apparent interest in signing the 26-year-old slugger to a megadeal, has been tempered by one sobering undercurrent: if the Los Angeles Dodgers ever got seriously involved, this dance could be over quickly.
That day appeared to arrive Tuesday, with the news, first reported by Yahoo! Sports, that the Dodgers recently sent a contingent of team officials to Las Vegas to meet with Harper and his representatives. The sudden and apparently emphatic involvement of the two-time defending National League champions — whose inherent advantages in the pursuit of Harper run from the financial to the geographical to the emotional — is widely perceived as a game-changer
According to the Yahoo! story, the Dodgers’ contingent that visited Harper at his Las Vegas home included minority owner Magic Johnson, who only five months ago, in his role as president of basketball operations for the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers, led the successful effort to woo LeBron James to L.A. Given the modus operandi of agent Scott Boras, who frequently bypasses general managers to go straight to ownership, the involvement of Johnson could be a sign the two sides are already beyond the opening stages of discussions
