And it was a mistake pulling him so soon in those starts too. Especially when bringing in relievers with 4.50 and 5.00 ERA's. I never liked when Shildt would do the same thing. No one's arm is going to break off if they throw 100 pitches in 7 innings.

Then you would have thought wrong. The bench has stunk all year. I believe Knizner was the only position player left. And he hasn't hit all year.
