Well, most of those guys didn't think that Brian Westbrook would be better than most of the guys in his draft class.

Most scouts thought Ryan Leaf would be a good NFL QB. Mistakes happen to large and small school prospects.

Most of the scouts didn't think that Marques Colston would be a star.

Nor did any of the teams. Also see above.

Most of the scouts thought that Chris Johnson and Matt Forte wouldn't be the players that they were.

Which is why teams selected them in the 1st/2nd. They wanted players they thought would fail?

They were wrong on all of those guys.

I can list 30 guys they were wrong about from big schools too.

So what is it, other than people falling for the BCS school image?

He plays on a team much more talented than his competition. i.e. the OSU effect?

who had better games vs LSU?

both had some pretty long runs if i remember right.

The only defense that both Wells and Moreno faced in college was the 08 Michigan State defense.

Wells rushing stats vs 08 Michigan State: 31 ATT, 140 YDS, 2 RUSHING TD

Moreno rushing stats vs 08 Michigan State: 23 ATT, 62 YDS, 0 RUSHING TD

I'm not saying that you can draw accurate conclusions from those stats, but that is their only common opponent.

Yea I don't think you can draw numbers from that MSU game with OSU. OSU was up like 28-0 in the first quarter...It was by far the best the team played all year.

But I do like what that florida fan said...just this once

he's straightline and small

He runs in a zone blocking scheme better than anyone in this draft. If he were to go to a team that uses that he would be very sucessful.

I'm sure someone has said it already but McShay said Wells has toughness issues.
