He needs to come in here and apologize

I was trying to stay away from the political stuff. Naomi has a fricking terrible personality outside of all of that. If you listen to her talk, it's clear that she is dumb as shite.
Add the BLM stuff on top of it all, and she is probably me least favorite tennis player ever.

If I never hear the name george Floyd again it will be too soon. It’s everyday glad he’s dead

Serena is still a better talent, IMO.
Osaka was incredibly classy after winning.
I was beyond impressed. Absolutely beautiful winner.
She first congratulated her opponents. Gave them so much respect and credit. Then she thanked her team. And lastly she thanked her fans.
I wanted to add that I knew this would eventually turn to some of her SJW stuff. I'm just going to let that go. I am okay with her wearing Trayvon Martin and Ahmaud Arbery on her masks. I just don't agree with anything directed at Breonna Taylor (if she did.) I'm still not going to let that take away how impressed I was with her last night. Still class act, humbled young winner.

Lol, Maybe some day. Maybe. Serena is the GOAT.

She is better than Serena is now, but probably not better than Serena in her prime. Let's check back in 20 years or so before we assume she is the GOAT

Class act and a ton of talent Greatness is before our eyes. When this is said and done, Naomi will be the goat.
Fact: Osaka has never advanced past the third round at the French Round or Wimbledon and she’s never advanced past the QF of a WTA 1000 event on clay. Osaka is basically a hard court specialist at this point in her career, a glorified version of Kim Clijsters.

Being a republican means you care too much about what others think hence your soft tone. You could’ve stated your opinion, but you had to qualify yourself with “Being Republican”. It’s just a way of saying “hey guys, I’m one of you”.
And I’m libertarian and I can hate whomever or whatever I wish. And having that freedom is a beautiful thing.
Actually, I was just trying to point out we should take it easy on SOME of the super woke athletes because they USUALLY mean well.
The comment wouldnt mean shite if I was just a liberal saying that. You're the one just trying to start something

I’m SO tired of every thread on this site turns into a political battle..... it’s really sad...... this is the MSB.... talk sports......

Right now she’s a better player yes. Against Serena in her prime that’s not even debatable. As others have said, she’s done nothing on non-hard courts.

This is the epitome of an MSB thread.
So much going on, 10% of it insightful.

People are free to do what they want, it is America after all. But, this is a person with two immigrant parents, Haitian father and Japanese mother, who moved their family to America when she was 3. American dream right? Good for them.
But then she competes for Japan because...
Wat? Everybody wants to come here and profit from all the benefits this country provides and then tell us how mean and racist we are.
Is it hard to understand why that’s aggravating?

Naomi identifies as Black and Asian, but, despite growing up in the U.S. for a portion of her life growing up, says she doesn't identify as American. "I don’t necessarily feel like I’m American. I wouldn’t know what that feels like."

Where does she say that America is mean and racist, or even that she experienced such things?

Non-White athlete views herself more as Japanese with Japanese mother and likely significant Japanese relatives.

She’s an outspoken BLM supporter right? Isn’t the whole point of that to say that this country is systemically racist, or no?
