And yet you still think a three-point shooter is worth $6 mil a year so you're in that same boat

Capologists will surely rap me on the knuckles if I've strayed offside here ... but I believe Livingston deal means Warriors now hard-capped

quote:

@MarkDeeksNBA: @ESPNSteinLine Yes they are. And that hinders their Love chase

@ESPNSteinLine
That means further roster changes for Golden State can only come via minimum signings + trades now. Bi-annual went to JO'Neal last summer

quote:

@KBergCBS
The Warriors still have $9.8m trade exception, but they're hard-capped at $81 million by virtue of using full mid-level on Livingston.

@KBergCBS
Not to say Warriors can't use a portion, or all, of the trade exception, depending on other moves. They just can't go above $81m now.

Brian Windhorst ?@WindhorstESPN 3m Kyle Lowry will take some time to consider options. Raptors, Rockets & Lakers are bidders, sources said. Heat have not progressed talks.

Unless the numbers are seriously skewed toward the Raptors, how is this even a question?

Even before Gortat deal, heard Bosh was aiming for 5/90 neighborhood. Could start that deal at 15M w/ max raises.

Umm....

Markets? I was talking about going back to Houston because they are obviously the best team of the three.

ETA: I saw earlier that the 11 and 12 numbers for Bosh and Wade were BS. They aren't looking for max, but looking for more than that.

Oh My bad.....

The Rockets might be the better team, but they are still in the Western conference. The East is basically a crap shoot right now outside of Miami and I'd consider the Raptors one of the team capable of competing in the conference the next few years.

They have some good young pieces and a lot of people seem to consider their GM a super smart guy.

I still don't think they are going to break it up in Miami, but something has to give soon.

I think James is drastically screwing up staying with the Heat who will be held back by the contracts of guys like Wade and Haslem.

Didn't Haslem already opt out?

Cole is their only rostered player. He makes ~2mil I believe.

And Napier on his rookie deal. They were talking about it earlier on ESPN.

They both opted out of their player options likely to come back for much less.

I'm hoping this turns into a Monta Ellis situation like last year and the Mavs come on strong late. Would love a backcourt of Ellis and Stephenson

I would much rather Lowry and another solid player at the 4 than one Carmelo Anthony. Hopefully he chooses Houston.

I think at this point Stephenson is becoming a bit underrated. He had a really good season and is still young. Yeah, he "challenged" Lebron. So what...I think 10 mil year is actually a good deal for him.
