It's going to take Simmons a while to be really good in the NBA. He can't shoot worth dick. That's going to be a problem.

He actually has a good shot but he's not comfortable shooting...but yeah that's basically the same thing.

If he goes to Philly he may never be good. Would be awesome if somehow the lakers get the first pick

I don't think anyone on the Spurs qualifies as a number 1 guy. They are a monolithic force.

Fair enough. Kawhi was the overall best player on a title team though. He didn't sneak into winning the FMVP like Iguodala did. He was (and is) the Spurs most important player. I think it will become more apparent as he continues to get better in the next couple of years. But I see what you're saying

Yea I think he'll develop into a clear number 1 role. But that won't really start until parker, manu, and duncan retire

Who would they give up? Jefferson and Batum? Might need even more to meet the price.

Jefferson/Ajinca/Ryno -> Houston
Batum -> Pelicans
Howard -> Charlotte

Everyone is happy.

They have a lot of solid wings. Y'all hate Dwight but Charlotte would be a lot better with him than Batum. Kaminsky would fit perfect next to Dwight.

Kawhi wasn't their best player that year. He was their best player during that series though.

LeBron's shooting has dropped off this season and last season, but he was a pretty decent shooter in Miami.
