Cal McNair looks exactly how you’d expect a Cal McNair to look

There might have to be a statue of Lovie Smith put up in front of the Texans’ stadium 15 years from now. That week 17 win last year changed everything.

He really thought he had fricked the Texans over

Running that play with the punter was dumb…put in an athlete, I’d be scared shitless the punter would get smoked and fumble the ball

Teams expect their players to catch a pass that hits you in both hands.

Again, go frick yourself

Texans are in the playoffs

Rookie HC and QB, what a complete turnaround for this franchise

The pass was behind him. But he should have caught it.

A more experienced RB isn’t turning up field there before securing the catch either. They’re flatening the route, catching the ball with both hands and then getting up the field and out of bounds for an easy first.

Almost like bringing in a RB with 6 receptions on the season to make that play is a stupid decision.

I thought about that, but probably best putting someone who's used to handling snaps.

He shouldn't have even been touched.

when you’re getting paid millions of dollars to play rb/wr yes you should be perfect when a ball hits both of your hands.

Third string RBs?

They expect the QB to throw a quality pass.

Let us know when you’re ready to show your skills.

Why is a 3rd string RB even in the game on that play?

no one in this thread is making the money Goodson is to play football.

Minshew got the ball in his hands. He needs to catch it.

I really think Minshew put that ball exactly where he wanted to. There’s no reason for the RB to be turning up the field before the catch.

It wasn’t a swing pass. It was a RB flat route.

Taylor should have got the first instead of going out of bounds.

That’s the expectation for a quality pass now? Just get near them? Doesn’t matter if they have to contort out they’re taking a huge hit?

The pass was off the mark.

Should he have caught it, yes. Do I fully blame him for dropping it, absolutely not. That’s as easy a completion as an NFL QB has to make and Minshew blew it.
