Coworker bought some powdered donuts from the store the other day that were labeled as "Baby Cakes". They were from Texas

They hired a branding firm from San Diego to handle this whole thing. Im sure they know a whole lot about New Orleans.

From what I read baby cakes was the name chosen by the San Diego firm that was hired. They thought it was a wonderful idea because we have those cakes with the babies inside of them.

News coverage. Minor league teams do this. The local team here in Savannah put the name change to a vote and now they are the Savannah Bananas.
