same at nearly every private school, wages are not the only place tuition goes my man.
I thought he was referring to the wages of the parents - ie ability to afford tuition

will also note that there are a lot of alumni that make great money that would probably be willing to donate to the school. The problem is that ND does not have any sort of alumni system. Graduated years ago and have never heard a peep from anyone at the school. Hell, their "Alumni Contact Form" on their website doesn't even work. Love the school, but they are dying a slow death partly due to the area that they are in but also due to their own complacency
they are stuck in a time long gone
keep going up on tuition and those that can pay start to question the value of NDHS
STM had school issued laptops for the kids 20 years ago
the best thing STM ever did was make Coach Danny Broussard the Alumni coordinator. the man is tireless and he is a networking and fundraising machine
his use of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and his annual Alumni get togethers is college level stuff. He does a Texas tour of Austin, Houston and Dallas for alumni socials that has brought a lot of STM people together and keeps them connected to the school
NDHS needs some new blood to bring in fresh ideas

If there numbers are down it is to stay or move to the division they want.

There was one team through the 2000s that could routinely keep ND in check…

Wonder if it feels like that last hurrah Redemptorist team that lost in the semis and then three years later the school was closed![]()
Parkview beat Redemptorist so bad that last football season that they closed the school

Funny how both schools were awful in football during the 90’s.

I’m glad I got to experience the rock before it went away.
We also sent Lael Collins and Jeremy hill away too
(Boat don’t you dare bring up what happened after that)

STM and TCHS
No they aren't
Some girls went to TCHS to play basketball
Name one legacy family or 3 families in Crowley total that send their kids to STM
They have a lot of alumni who now live in Lafayette that send their kids there though
There is maybe 1 or 2 kids from the area that go to ESA, there was maybe 5 when I was a kid and none wouldve helped the football team be better
More kids go to Sacred Heart/Berchmans than go to esa/stm
They are also losing kids from the west that would maybe go there but have figured out how to go to Sam Houston or Barbe to play baseball

That’s not possible. Those are non-select schools. You have to live in those zones NO EXCEPTIONS to go to school there.
LOL

Another variable is that ND had a summer workout routine which they derived from LSU and implemented it in the late 90s in Crowley. It was head and shoulders above most schools in the state at the time. A lot of people would be surprised with how many high school programs had no structured workout programs until the last decade or so.
Acadiana High started using their weight training program around 2000 and became one of the most successful public schools in 5A since. That workout program was no joke.

For folks farther to the East, what's up with St. Charles going up to 4A?
St. Charles faces ‘probably the most turnover’ yet after latest title game appearance

St. Charles has reached the state finals five years in a row, and in most seasons, the Comets returned several key players from the previous year.
This season will be different.
St. Charles graduated 17 every-game starters from a team that lost the LHSAA Division III state final after a last-minute touchdown by Calvary Baptist.
“This is probably the most turnover, this being my fourth year as the head coach,” said coach Wayne Stein, a defensive coordinator before he replaced retired Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame inductee Frank Monica as head coach in 2021.
St. Charles will play in Class 4A for the first time, a move up after St. Charles played the past five seasons in Class 2A and in the Division III playoff bracket.

I graduated from Brusly in 2000, I remember playing both teams. Both were getting a lot better at that time
