Foster will be a wrecking ball for the 49ers

Average weight of a 3-4 ILB is 253lbs.....
At 229, Foster will be the smallest in the entire NFL......

You would have to think San Fran really wanted watt. At 252, he was a better fit

So how much do you think things have changed in those whopping 3 seasons
Maybe a pound or so up or down.....

Pretty sure they are just desperate to get a thumper to replace Willis still & expect him to put on weight

That is the size for the average NFL ILB including 4-3
253 lbs is the average size for 3-4
Look man, Foster may kill it. But it is a factual statement he is undersized as a 3-4 linebacker.

Ahh I gotcha. Didn't really read the article just looked at the charts. I believe you. Foster does seem undersized then for ILB. Hope he can overcome that and some off the field issues to be a beast. One of my favorite CFB players to watch ever.
Who was the Jets ILB at 290 in 2014

I think he will be fine. He plays way above his weight. I think he will have no issue in run support

Levon Kirkland was the biggest I remember at around 270-280 on steelers back in the day

Bowman & Willis are both 6' or 6'1" and 240 lbs. Not sure how much their system has changed in the last couple of years, but Foster's size seem to fit their scheme.

About two hours before te draft I read an article on ESPN about how John Ross wasn't guaranteed to go in the first 1st Trojans
Fast forward 2-3 hours and he's the 9t pick

The Whiners are moving back to a 4-3.

That defense was great against Clemson. The offense was completely inept to the point where they gave Clemson short fields all night. So frustrating to watch

I want to hear the Bears GM explain that trade.
Also, I'm now under the impression that the NYG have no plans to run the ball this season. Air Raid Manning.

I just cannot fathom why NYG went with a pass catcher with so many glaring holes on the OL and at RB

They loved Trubisky and thought someone else was moving up. Nothing else makes sense, even though I think they were probably bidding against themselves.
They gave SF 150% of the expected value that the #2 pick should bring. To use a real world example, Trubisky's fist 5 years need to be slightly better than Tannehill and slightly worse than Luck to justify the value they gave up.

Has Baltimore moved up to 33? Overnight trade between Ravens and Packers?
