I've come to a point where I just enjoy watching both Kobe and LeBron play

This is what makes me feel sorry for all the haters, on both sides.

Consider, Lebron who seems to get most of the hate on these boards nowadays. So many guys just hate him so much and root against him, which is fine. But in the process, they are completely missing out on watching and just appreciating one of the greatest athletes of our generation. It's sad really.

I love watching both play.

I hear you man

I just get more enjoyment watching Kobe orchestrate on the court

He has such an array of ways he can beat you

TO ME, Lebron is very predictable in what he's gonna do. BUT YOU CANNOT STOP IT. lol. That's just me

I agree, but I also feel this way about Kobe, especially in the later stages of his career.

It'll come down to this: does Kobe get support? In the Game 6 win against PHX Kobe had 37 points, but Gasol the 2nd best guy on the team had 9. Stats like that won't result in many victories. Kobe can't do it alone. Against a tough defensive team like Boston days where Kobe carries the team and wins will be hard to come by.

Also, how much does Garnett have left in the tank? He was doing good in the early parts of the playoffs. Last series he really struggled. Celtics need his defense, but his offense as well. Boston's biggest weapon is anybody can be the scorer: Pierce, Allen, or Rondo.

How will Bynum be? If Bynum's injury continues to get worse and his mobility continues to plummet Boston can double up more on Gasol and force Kobe to be the guy to carry the team.

With all that said I'm going with LA in 6. Can't pick against Kobe and Phil Jackson.

NOPE!! Celts play D and the Lakers will not have the depth to compete AND win this series. Celts in 6.

I'll take Celtics in five. I think they can steal a game in the first two, and then win 3 in a row at home. Ron Ron is an offensive liability at this point in his career, and putting Kobe on Rondo puts Ray Allen on Fisher who has no shot of chasing his arse down through all those screens. As its been said in multiple threads, I think the bigs are the X factors. Bynum being injured drastically alters this series, and if Amare/Lopez can make Gasol look bad, just wait what Perk does to him. It sounds odd, but Garnett is going to have real problems when the Lakers go multiple bigs, I really think we should bring him in when they go to Odom off the bench.

Amare made gasol look bad in two of six games, and that was because he was better offensively. How is Perkins going to make gasol look bad in any similar fashion that Amare did? That makes zero sense.

I think the Lakers in 6. I don't know if Boston can ride this emotional roller-coaster of playing the "Best Teams" and do it 3 times in a row....but then again they just might have enough veteran leadership to pull it off. Still hard to bet against the Lake show at this point though.

this is pretty much where I stand but being a Lebron fan in essence has almost forced me to pick a side in the argument which I've realized since about last year, I don't really have to now. But for a while it felt like some Biggie and Pac shite, it was a sin to appreciate both at one time in the mid 90's.

When a defender as terrible as Amare is can take Gasol out of multiple games, a defender as good as Perk is can make him a non-factor.
