Would not disagree. I think the guys (South) will be fired up at first but that doesn't mean crap really
not in a 40,000 seat stadium with several thousand fans rooting for State.
I don't think we are anywhere near ready for a bigger stage yet. I'm hardly a homer but I'm also cautiously optimistic at times too.

ND -28 is going to be such a popular play that I am probably going to take Purdue at anything greater than 28.

Purdue is horrendously bad. The only way Notre Dame doesn't win by 40 is if they come out slow since this is the game after Michigan, but Golson is the real deal.

Yea, it will just be a small bet. Maybe .5 unit at the most. I just love to bet reactionary games where teams come off huge wins and go into games against bad opponents. It works out more than not for me.

Yeah it wouldn't surprise me one bit to see ND struggle some. I just don't know that Purdue can score any points.
Still trying to figure out why A&M is only a 32 point favorite against Rice.

Would not touch Notre Dame... Not saying they won't cover, but it's not a good spot for them at all.

Rice covered a similar spread last year. Granted that was a bowl team with a senior quarterback that put up 28 points against a really bad aggie defense.

Saw the thread, made me excited. Looked at the Thursday / Friday slate.
I will be all over Houston. This is coming from someone who was all over UTSA vs Houston in Week 1 , and all on BYU Week 1 (verified in my post history.) Not enough information out to fully cap the game, but using preseason numbers Houston is absolutely the play here. They should compete, and will have a chance to win this game.
18.5 is laughably large, take those points.

I agree DG. We are getting into week 3, historically where some teams have looked bad but will eventually have an up game and play well. As well as a team looking great have a down game.
Just like after 2nd thought, if UGA gets over 7 im leaning USCe. They have looked terrible the past 2 weeks, but I dont think they are as bad as they have been playing. Spurrier should be able to rally the troops at home and make this a close game. Add in the fact EVERYBODY and their momma drooled over the UGA line when it came out says trap all over it

Think it will go any higher?
It's already up from 16 (2.5 points of value). Maybe I'm just being greedy.

Shoot, try 14.5. Don't lock it in until game time. Money should pour in on BYU

TCU -9 over Minnesota might be my biggest play of the year so far
Also like Iowa State +13... not sure why Iowa continues to command so much respect from the oddsmakers after their shitty first two games

Liked those two on first glance too.
Only thing I can think of with ISU being +13 is perceived letdown factor after blowing their Big 12 home opener...but that doesn't make much sense because Iowa is their biggest rival.

Yes, even bigger
Minnesota has been one dimensional against Eastern Illinois and Middle Tennessee, can't throw the ball worth a lick. Now their QB who already sucked is hurt. What are they going to do? Run the ball each play? Won't work against TCU - they lead the nation in run defense almost every year and you need a good offensive line who can pass protect with a solid pocket passing QB to beat Gary Patterson's defense. Kind of like how Mettenberger was able to pick apart TCU's defense last year. Minnesota doesn't have that so I expect them to get shut down.

Well TCU is already up to -14

I think I was a dcrews like 1-8 last week.

Any thoughs on UMass catching 17? They put up 38 on Colorado, and I'm thinking Vandy is just as bad as the Buffs...
Edit: Also, Wyoming's totals were WAY under in both of its first two games against Montana and Air Force. Nobody got out of the teens in those games. I'll be interested in their Oregon game total when it comes out...

Don't let the UNT vs. SMU score deceive you, UNT still has a terrible offense. UNT only had 1 scoring drive cover more than 52 yards while 5 of them were 27 yards or shorter.
That is going to be one ugly football game.
