so right now there are 75 people at +4 or better, i really can't see it going to +5. there are 4 people right now that have a shot at falling to +5 but it would take a Bryce Molder or Boo Weekely collapse to get more to +5 IMO

It would be tough for Tiger if he gets through to the weekend. Not because of the 9 or 10 strokes to make up, but because of the sheer number of people in front of him. You have some really good golfers like Singh, Jiminez, Goosen all at -3. Tiger is in like 80th place right now.

you can make up a shite ton of spots up in the british open though. Paul Lawrie came from 10 back on sunday to make the playoff just from people shooting big numbers.

I agree. Westwood knocks it to 8 ft on 18 and has a birdie putt that would send him to -3. I have to think he would be one of the favorites going into the weekend.

Boy it sucks to be Anthony Kim. He takes a 9 on the second hole of the tournament (quintuple bogey) and finishes round two at +6 missing the cut.
Just goes to show you how imporant every shot is in a major golf tournament. Any hole can knock you out.

Like a lot of writers, I thought/hoped Kim would be the next big contender. Doesn't look like he has the mental game, plus the injury bug seems to be biting him. Shame.

Did anyone think TNT's shot of Tiger in the Limo leaving turnbury after the round was eerily reminscent of the limo ride the loser on the bachelorette takes at the end of each episode? Why couldn't TNT have a camera planted in the Limo with Tiger muttering half hearted excuses about how this will only make him stronger and eventually he will rediscover the love of his life--his golf swing.
