Their bullpen added 5 different players who've had success elsewhere in Hand, Nelson, Knebel, Familia, etc...
Now defensively they've made some additions but also some subtractions. It isn't like McCutchen is a plus defender anymore as he was worth -7 DRS same as Castellanos.
Didi is also going to play less SS this year which will help with the INF defense.
I tend to think they will actually be a bit better defensively than last year and at worst finish evenly to how they did last year.
I said that their pen can't get any worse than it has been the last 2 years.
We're gonna disagree on their defense. It is gonna be very bad and will cost them their share of games. Aside from Bryce they don't have a plus defender anywhere else and Bryce is very good.
