I pick the rays every year

NL West - Dogers
Giants might be more equipped to win it all in the playoffs, but the Dodgers are too talented over a 162-game season. San Diego might keep the Giants out of the playoffs, honestly.
NL Central - Cardinals
Just the safe pick.
NL East - Nationals
Really no competition besides maybe a little from Florida
AL West - Mariners maybe? This might be the most competitive division in baseball at the top (outside of the NL West, maybe).
AL Central - Tigers
I don't think the Royals make the playoffs next year.
AL East - Red Sox
This division will be very mediocre once again. Tampa and New York both probably have a ceiling of 85 wins. Toronto can never seem to put it together. Probably either Boston or Baltimore wins this one.

NL West - Dodgers
NL Central - Cardinals
NL East- Nats
NL WC- Marlins, Giants
AL West - Angels
AL Central- Tigers
AL East - Blue Jays
AL WC- Red Sox, Mariners
I wanted to put the Marlins are the NL East winner, but the Jose injury is the real mystery. With the work ethic he has and the reports coming out I wouldn't be surprised if he could go opening day(probably won't for the best) but nothing is a given with that type of injury in terms of his ability. That outfield tho

Our lineup is going to be so shitty.

Let you know closer to the season.... would hate to pick a team like the Angels and Trout breaks a leg

How the hell do any of you have Boston winning the East?
with what pitching? Hanley? Back side of his career. Ortiz? Same thing. Panda I'd an upgrade, but can they overcome their lack of pitching?
I'm easily picking Toronto for the East. Hell, I think the Yankees may even be able to contend for the East for a while.
AL East is the weakest division in baseball this year, IMO

Holy buy into the media hype guy

I think Porcello is underrated. People forget how young he still is.
They also added Rusney Castillo to go along with Hanley, Panda. Betts will play every day now. Thats gonna be a tough lineup, and its not like Toronto is loaded with great SP either.

I mean Toronto really doesn't have a strong pitching staff either

Idk. I like Torontos lineup better. Like their SP better. It may be a coin toss on the mound between the two squads, but I love the Donaldson addition. Saunders isn't terrible. I don't know much about their CF and I've always loved Bautista. Reyes needs to stay off crutches.
BOLD PREDICTION: Toronto takes this division by double digits.
I'm in the minority when I say I don't buy the Betts hype. But what do I know? I buy into half the Astros prospects hype except Deshields.

why no Dodgers?
Giants need Cain and Lincecum the best they can be to make up for Panda's departure. Will either of them really have it?
Did you take Cain and Lincecum to Lourdes? Tim Lincecum is similar to Tiger. Body could not take the stress. Tim has to learn a new pitch. I can still hardly believe he threw a no hitter last year.

Very little love for the royals in this thread.
Lost aoki, butler, and shields. Add rios, volquez, medlen (still out for a while). The lineup seems pretty damn solid. I guess the rotation is kinda weak but a great bullpen. I think they make the playoffs again.

I think you may be onto something Prom. Red Sox are pretty much the default pick in a really shitty division. Could very well see the Blue Jays winning the AL East w/ 84 wins or some such shite.

AL)
East - Tor/ Balt tie w/90 wins
Central- Det barely with a strong push from Clev and KC
West- Sea
WC- LAA and AL east team whichever 1 loses tiebreaker
NL)
East- Wash by a good bit
Central- STL (Cubs finish with 75 wins)
West - LAD
WC- SF and Mia
WS - Wash beats LAA in 5.

I think the AL East teams are all pretty similar. All of the teams can hit, but none have any pitching. Is there even a frontline starter in that division outside of a healthy Tanaka?
Toronto has the best lineup, easily. They have 4 legit MVP candidates in their lineup with Reyes, Bautista, Donaldson, and Encarnacion. Saunders and Russ Martin will hold their own, as well. Their rotation is weak and their Pen could use work, which is why I want to keep an eye on where Aaron Sanchez lands.
AL East: TOR
AL Central: DET
AL West: LAA
Wildcard: SEA, BOS
NL East: WAS
NL Central: CIN
NL West: LAD
Wildcard: MIL, NYM
