Legit feels like Silver is trying to kill the whole weekend with how it was set up. The celebrity game was the only thing that was on tv in primetime. Rising Stars game on Peacock. Allstar Saturday night actually being Allstar mid afternoon pretty much guarantees a totally shite crowd.

Professional dunkers do insane stuff but the NBA doesn't even need that. A bunch of no name guys kills the event unless they're doing 720s or dunking from the 3 pt line. Stars going back to the event would revive it but they won't do it.

It died a long time ago. Mac McClung resurrected it for a few years but otherwise it's been flatlined since probably Dwight Howard won in 2008.
