we'll be waiting for an official diagnosis from Cleveland's side before making such a bold statement.
Yeah right

Golden State played an average game for them, overall. Their bench was great, but they weren't great in hardly any other areas.
And minus Lebron the Cavs played pretty bad. Not saying the Cavs have much of a chance, but lets not act like they came out and shot 70% and lost.

I still think it's just as likely that GS has a poor shooting night, their bench doesn't show up, and lebron goes off. Like I said, I have no logical explanation for this opinion, I just have it

LeBron played amazing. Kyrie played a good game and made some clutch shots.
The reason the rest of the Cavs played "pretty bad" is because the rest of the Cavs didn't really have any chances to do much in the 2nd half.
Mozgov had a good game, offensively and defensively. Thompson was killing it on the offensive boards and rim protecting in the 1st half. JR Smith hit 3 threes in the first half. Didn't get anything from Della, but the Cavs definitely got production at times from others.
Like I said, LeBron played great, but his 38 shots is certainly a part of the reason that he didn't get a ton of help.

Lebron is still good for at the bare minimum one game
He just played his best playoff game ever.

Round of applause for Blatt for playing a guy who has been gimpy the entire post season 44 minutes. I get it. It's the Finals. But let's not act like this is surprising giving Irving's workload last night.

quote:Yep. It's probably not the thread to bring up this debate, but screw it lol...It's why the "count the rings" thing is so silly. Let's say Shumpert hits that shot, now GS is playing for their lives in game 2. He misses, now CLE is probably finished due to losing game 1 plus losing Kyrie. Whether it helps or hinders Lebron or Curry's legacy with titles, there's so much that happens that they don't control, that's why titles are so overrated.
Crazy to think if Bron hits the game winner, or Shumpert's shot goes in, Cavs are up 1-0 and still have Kyrie. And now they are looking at a huge disadvantage. What a reversal of fortunes

What would your excuse be if they lost at full strength?
"Golden State was a better team" isn't valid, so sorry, can't use that one

It feels a lot like the ECF against the Magic. He plays great, but they just come up short to a more well rounded team.

This is the rally cry for fans of teams that are starving for a championship (not saying you, Shel).
It's like when Swag was surprisingly cool when GSW disposed of his Rockets, while he was all butthurt that Morey didn't win Exec of the Year.

quote:He was good last night, that probably wasn't a top 10 game ever. Definitely not even remotely close to his best ever.
He just played his best playoff game ever.
His best ever would be one of the games against 2009 ORL or game 6 against BOS or the DET game.

To answer, how did Lebron play vs how did his cast play vs how did GSW play in your hypothetical?
