Shaq's lineup would only work if you put Lebron at the 1 and let him dish.

He only picked AI because in the past he's said that's my guy, whatever that means...maybe they're buddies or something.

Anyone not having prime Bird is stupid. You get a shooter, a ferocious put-back rebounder, a great passer, a playmaker, an assists leader, a bombs away 3-point shooter and a clutch finisher. Plus you get his attitude like MJ. You get the whole package in one player.

This post is wrong on soooooo many levels........ Only ONE ball handler????????

Okay. Who other than Magic
Robertson vs Jordan ...Nope
Bird vs Kobe...Nope
Russell vs. James ...Nope

So who handles the ball other than magic.

With all the players being 6-6 or taller besides Iverson who is the weakness to the team. They could man up Bird and pack the paint.

My favorite top five

PG - Magic
SG - Jordan
SF - James
PF - Bird
C - Shaq

Team has shooting, ball handling, defense, size, and physical dominance. I have three players who can get me a triple double any night and a closer like no other. Considered Durant over Bird but Bird was so good and if we consider Jordan the goat. He never beat Bird in the playoffs. So that has to mean something.

Unstoppable

I would switch AI for Durant and let LeBron run the offense.

Bron
Kobe
Jordan
Durant
Shaq

It’s pretty tempting putting AD at the 5 and just let that squad run

1. Stockton - you need a facilitator and someone who is fine running the offense and letting everyone else score.

2. Jordan - GOAT

3. LeBum - I don’t like him but won’t deny his greatness.

4. Karl Malone - best PF of all time. Not some hybrid center like Duncan.

5. Shaq

Would love to see them play:

1. Magic
2. Kobe
3. Durant
4. Duncan
5. Hakeem

Karl, Steve Nash, Dominique, Garnett, Reggie Miller. A few names I’d add to a team to match up with Shaq’s.

The beauty of Shaw’s lineup is that 4/5 are top 20 all time defensive players. Lebron is the only one who is not. AI shuts down the point , Jordan and Koby shut down the 2 and 3. Shaq has the lane (assuming younger Shaq). Bird is a top 5 all time player, but defense was he weakest area. He could block out and rebound like no other. He had quick hands. He had very little lateral movement on D. Similar to Magic in that respect.

Russel, Pipen, Gary Payton , Moses Malone, Larry Johnson would match up well with Shaw’s 5.

I could maybe put in Giannis for Duncan for athleticism. But the defense here should be amazing.

PG - Nash
SG - Michael
SF - Durant
PF - Duncan
C - Shaq

Dirk 1st off the bench for spacing and 3-ball, bumping Duncan to C

There are never enough good Guards to fit a dream lineup like this, so I always end up picking someone stupid, like I'm going to do right now.

Give me Rajon Rondo backing up the PG slot. There's enough scoring on this lineup that he never has to take a shot and he is IMO the best interior passing PG of his generation. So many times he fit passes in to KG or Big Baby when he never should have been able to.
