That's something for Sherman to deal with. I couldn't care less about his endorsements.

That already happened early on when guys said he'd be dead or in jail if it weren't for football.

Why does he need to be better than that? And what specifically? Talking trash to an opponent in a game that means nothing outside of the entertainment value it provides?

Sehl311, me and you usually agree on everything, but I adamantly disagree with you here. Were you knighting for Ryan Mallet when everyone said he was a thug and would be dead from meth if it wasnt for football. I dont remember you crying racism in that thread. Why is that?

Wait, what?

Where was the racism?

One guy is stereotyped because of his skin color.

Why would you think Mallet was being stereotyped based on skin color? It was obviously based on appearance, and more to the point, I think that was a running joke, no?

They are both being type casted based on they ACT. Has nothing to do with skin color. You see anyone talking about Russel Wilson or Patrick peterson? Ryan Mallet is white and is called a thug based on the way he act and speaks and Sherman is black and called a thug based on the way he acts and speaks. My point is people are judging them on the way they carry themselves, not their skin color

It wasn't just in the game. And it wasn't just talking trash. We don't live in a bubble. The way he and other people act has a direct effect on how other people act. There's a bigger picture than 'entertainment.'

Ok then. To give the real answer to your question, I've never seen or remember seeing a Ryan Mallet interview(no sarcasm), so that would be why I wasn't calling people racist in those instances.

Let me just make sure I understand your take here. Guys calling Sherman a thug, and saying Sherman who has a masters degree from Stanford I believe would be dead or in jail if it weren't for football, and you're saying that has absolutely not one bit to do with race? You gotta be kidding me here. I think you're seeing a little too much of the good side in people, and not being realistic. That's just my take.

Man, Harbaugh is getting a real pass for the way he carried himself yesterday, if that is 100% the case.

Hahaha. If that's what you want to believe, go ahead, but the effect of what Sherman said is actually minimal. It hasn't affected my life in any way other than to entertain the living frick out of me. It hasn't affected anyone else's life all that much either. You're acting like Sherman is some sort of prophet who people listen to. In real life, people don't give a shite about what football players do.

Harbaugh has nothing to do with this. He was carrying on, but his carrying on was different.
"I'm the best; don't even talk about me." vs. "Hey, throw the flag."

It's really not that big of a deal. Kids won't be going off in interviews in the future after their CFB game or HS game.

I mean it's not like this is the world's 1st off the wall interview.

Fair enough, but he's also known to do his fair share of trash talking to players from other teams, and we just don't know what he's saying when he does.

Probably not, but I don't REMEMBER seeing anything like it, at least not in recent times. It's an outlier.

Trash talking to players is a tactic. Going off in interviews is a lack of self control, imo. Or a lack of respect for what people expect in the situation. That goes back to my comment about "anti-social."

a

Harbaugh should get a trophy for sportsmanship based solely on not punching a ref yesterday.

Oh, and Sherman could use a little timeout prior to giving interviews in the future. Nothing more, it is the way the league is...what do we think the DBs and WR are saying all day? "Hows your mom doing? Give her my regards"

What do people expect when a microphone is shoved in a guys face about 45 seconds after breaking up a play, saving the Super Bowl, getting in a shove match, giving a choke sign?

To be clear, I despise the Seahawks. But come on, this game is played with more trash and emotion than it should be, everyone sees it, then everyone is all taken aback when it is said on TV. Really?

What we usually get. That's the issue here.

Actually Sherman is from Compton and does a lot of good things in the community but I did not care for his Skip Bayless interview nor his post game interview last night. Walter Payton was one of the best ever at his position in my opinion but never had to disgrace anyone ever in an interview or proclaim his supremacy in a post game rant. He was one of the best, we all knew it, and he was pure class. Sherman take note in my humble opinion.
