Is it though? Gymnastics is brutal on the body. There’s a reason it’s highly unusual to see gymnasts in their 20s, especially mid 20s.
As for Biles… it’s gotta be weird to have your only real competition be yourself. So if you frick up, you really take it personally and bad.
Damn. She’s not looked a damn bit happy or comfortable during this floor routine.

The most recent Olympic teams have been much older than those of years past. Most girls are 18-22.
They can really compete as long as their body allows, If you remain relatively injury free- like Simone has. Also Simone started gym way older than most girls.

it doesn’t matter who they pick. they will win the gold and simone will win overall individual. they just need to decide on the individual event specialists

It’s crazy how good she is. Still finished 2nd today, and 1st in the overall competition despite an atrocious day for her.
