I'm not exactly paying much attention to the intricacies of the Iggy/Swaggy relationship here

But what have I missed that make it so obvious? Even if they have a completely open relationship, it may soften the blow obviously, but the video is still something you'd not want to leak, no?

Probably not, but the ironic part of this is that Young and the Lakers response to the leak made it into a national headline. So a video that few people would care about initially turned into the biggest sports topic for a few days.

Ill defend Russell. What Russell did was the lesser of the crimes here. Everyone seems to be glossing over how shitty of a person Nick Young is and are defending a man cheating on his SO.

I don't know who has defended him, but I certainly have not. I said he was an idiot on page 2 of this thread. I just think it would go a long way to ending this crap if Young came out and either said "yes, Russell is right, we prank each other all the time and this just got of hand" or "no that isn't true we aren't friends off the court"

Him not taking a "stance" in the media seems to be driving this bus forward at this point

Nick Young is POS for cheating, and many have acknowledged this fact, but this is a black-eye for D'Angelo's young career. The NBA is notorious for players cheating on their significant others. This has been one of the least-kept-secrets for some time. No one said NBA players are the sharpest tools in the shed, but this is a complete breach of trust in the locker room.

It spoke volumes to me, watching the Lakers win over Miami last night, when Julius Randle refused to pass the ball to Russell, his PG, as they ran up the court. ( LINK)

The dude is 20, and this incident will pass with time, but it shouldn't surprise anyone to see this reaction among the Lakers locker room and other current/former players (i.e. Tyrann Mathieu, Stephen Jackson, etc.).

To paraphrase LeBatard, the 2 stories are really telling. The internet world was quick to slut shame the one cheating chick in the Kyrie Irving story, but we've hardly seen any of that in the Nick Young story.

Rookie secretly records a vet saying that he cheated on his fiancee. Recording leaks. Shitstorm ensues.

I usually don't say things like this, but what he did is pretty irreparable. Taking a video of somebody saying something personal, knowing it can ruin a part of their lives, and posting it online is something a preteen girl would do. It shows such a lack of maturity I can't imagine why anyone would want that kind of person around.

Take the infidelity out of it. What if overhears the GM and owner(s) talking about trades, business deals, or even moving the franchise? There are things that require confidentiality and trust. Doing what Russell did shows a lack of awareness of such situations.

This to a T.

I'd just once like to see Young take an Arch Rivals-game type running swing at him before the season ends.

I don't know.

It was a conversation within the conversation.
