Teachers do pay into SS in MS.
I’m confused about this- he’s a coach, not a teacher, so is this clause even applicable?

BrettCollier, you were saying? Zero runs over 18 innings.

Yeah I was wrong. He doesn't have as many years in as I thought. I thought the 2 years at LA Tech was his only out of state job but I forgot he was at Arkansas State for a stretch

I think he is a very good coach but in the SEC, he will likely not be as successful. I think there are better candidates. Going to the smaller conferences for an assistant coach is high risk IMHO. We scored a lot of runs against them. We lost the series BC we allowed too many runs.

We should definitely make a hiring decision based on a 3 game sample vs one of the best hitting teams in the country

Coaches are part of the teachers retirement But only their base salary from th university counts. Any extra money from camps endorsements and booster supplements are not eligible.
Again, my opinion is he would not be interested in LSU job. Just a feeling I get.

He spoke publicly about it?
Jay: “Hey Chris, are you interested in the LSU PC position?”
Chris: “Nah, I’ve got a pretty good MS retirement set up. Not interested.”

You do realize I didn’t bring up the retirement money. I just expressed my working knowledge of those systems.
Retirement money is not why I think he’s not interested. I just simply think he’s not interested.
