Is it really asking too much to have a record above .500 in the shitty Big 12 with Patrick Mahomes as your QB?

I refuse to believe that NFL GM's and College AD's, as competitive as the market is and as high as demands are from fans, would not hire a black coach they thought was the best option. But I have seen enough mind-numbing retreads in the NFL that I may be wrong.
Charlie Strong was not hired by the Univ of Florida in 2011 because he has a white wife or as then AD J. Foley put it "He doesn't fit the culture at UF". In hindsight that was probably a smart move by UF because of the success that Mullen has had in the last two years. But the "best option" argument doesn't always tell the full story.

I don't want to shite on Judge because I know very little about him. Chris Long mentioned the fact that he coached the WR & ST's unit at the sametime. Which isn't an easy task.
He might end up being great but his qualifications don't exactly jump off the page so he doesn't really fit a "cream rising to the top" theory.

Kliff's 4 predecessors all managed it.

Let's be honest, Bienemy is a very good candidate, he should be a top candidate for one of these openings, yet, so far he has just received a patronizing, "we have to interview one Black candidate", interview.
Agreed.
However, I think with the race to not let a top candidate get away (Rhule, McCarthy, etc..) some teams are just hiring one of their top candidates so they aren’t left with nothing. I really do believe Bienemy’s candidacy is hurt most by his team still being in the playoffs.

I just find it interesting what names get floated for HC jobs. Less than a month ago, we heard "Jason Witten could be interested in being the Cowboys next HC". Why do never hear those sort of things floated out there about guys like Benjamin Watson or Patrick Willis.

It's not like the head coach can't do anything about that.

The whole thing is kind of a weird dynamic. I do think the Rooney Rule is more of a slap in the face to potential black hires than actually not hiring them, because it's basically checking a box when you know who you're going to hire anyway. But I refuse to believe race factors in when hiring a HC. Mike Tomlin would he hired as soon as he hit the open market.
I do wonder why Eric Beiniemy hasn't gotten a job yet though. I feel like he'd be solid.

The same folks who don't think minorities make good HC's or coordinators. Are the same folks that think white dudes can't play cornerback.
The same dudes who play slot receiver in the NFL could make way more money being cornerbacks. But they were steered away from that position.
Christian Mccaffery could be a stud cornerback.
I'm not so sure about this. Whites make up 70% of the population but 0% of the cornerbacks. That is a staggering disparity. To blame all of it on discrimination is just lazy.

What about the lack of white small forwards in the NBA?

Stephen A's full of shite as usual.
When NFL owners want to make a splash they hire OFFENSIVE side hires.
The problem is few offensive side coaches are black.
Why is that? Let's hear Screamin A. talk it out.

Offense wasn’t their problem.
