That 6-way tiebreaker is rough. Arkansas State, 11-7, starts Thursday. Marshall, 11-7, starts Sunday.

I get the point of what they are trying to do, but in a shite league like that, that is a LOT of meaningless basketball being played the 1st 4 days.
I would be totally ok with letting the bottom 4 teams stay home altogether.

I think it’s absolutely dumb to include all the teams in a conference tourney that is going to determine who moves on to the post season.
I know…like someone said above, money. But damn, you’d think that out of 14 teams in the conference, only 8 (still more than top half) would be included.

Have to agree this is a huge issue with this format. The SBC at the least needs to address the regular season schedule to get better tie-breaking procedures.
Last year they had a four-way tie for first place.

Don’t know I’ve ever seen 7 teams within 1 game of first place. Only 1 game separated a team from 2 byes and 5 byes

It pisses me off so bad. Maybe because the years I was there we were winning the conference and it was such a fun time. Some of these guys brought in this year shouldn't be playing Div 2. Coach was already playing the injury card before the season because of one guy. Maybe he makes a difference; maybe ULM wins 4 conference games.

Its perfect today, and will be the rest of the week. I'm going to go check out a game or two sometime this week. lol at rather being in NYC or Chicago over Pensacola right now.

Nah, the post I responded to originally said “Pensacola might be the best place for a conference tournament”, not “the sun belt conference tournament”
Does anyone really go to the sun belt tourney? Nashville, NOLA, Charleston all be much nicer.
