Nonsense, there's so much talent that comes out of that state. How may Texas recruits does Bama really take every year? Plus that's a new phenomenon, the big 12 has been like this for several years now.

i was just giving a middle finger to the big 12

the real answer has everything to do with the style that everyone plays in the big 12 and how it doesnt translate into solid defense

The o/u was 77 and OSU was a 2 point favorite. I'd like to know how Vegas made out on the game.

it's hard/impossible to have a good defensive ranking in the big12, because so many teams are offensively focused

but that doesn't excuse the complete lack of D

i think it's cyclical/self-fulfilling, b/c the best kind of D to use against these types of offenses EVERY week is a soft one that keeps big plays in front of them and gets turnovers. lots of zones and minimal blitzing. that will lead to more offense, which leads to more reliance on that sort of D. wash, rinse, and repeat

They get TCU, OU and Baylor at home. I thought their defense was better than this.

because a&m, LSU, and bama take all of the state of texas' elite defensive recruits

Then why is A&M always awful on defense?

State will lose at least 2 of those. Their luck will run out. Thought WV had them earlier this season.
