This offense is pathetic. What in the hell happened to this team?

Was really hoping he would do something there to perfectly bookend this thread.

By the way, Shea Langeliers is killing it for the A's this season.

Yeah that 101 OPS+ would be huge for us right now

Interesting that they don't go with Iglesias here. Are his days numbered?

Seitzer wasn’t the problem as evidenced by him crushing it in Seattle currently. Liberty media, via AA, has created a “meh good enough” Replacements team. It ain’t pretty.

We are in for a dark stretch. When the product cools and the money decreases they’ll agree to spend (maybe). We did TOO well at showing up at the Battery and got a WS Title finally which I am extremely grateful for (same as in 95). They then proceeded to go into ‘we can replace these guys’ mode ( Don’t forget Ronnie was out that year as well). For those of you that were also in attendance at the celebration you remember key players saying “Re-Sign Freddie!” while drunk with other adjectives and verbs attached. We have “Re-Signed” no one and have let the best players walk. Acuña hasn’t been healthy enough for a long enough stretch and Strider is.. Strider. So no one was/is beating down doors and, though my initial anger was at AA ( not loyal to a city or team bc that isn’t his job) it’s obvious that Liberty Media has handcuffed him with the amount he can spend. We are in trouble.
Got them Interstate North Buildings last month and the Battery though.

That was autistic as frick. Apologies

Blewett and extra innings. I’ll take it. Nothing easy these days.

For as bad as we are in innings 1-9, we are half arse decent in extras.

Really is a testament to our pitching that, in the NL only the Pirates and Rockies have scored less runs than us, but while they are last in their respective divisions and well below .500, we're hovering right around .500.

I mean it's basically 2024 with a worse roster. I'm still not sure why anyone is surprised

Too many people blamed all of 2024's problems solely on injuries and ignored the other warning signs that something wasn't right with a lot of these guys. Now they're surprised that basically the same lineup is struggling once again, and they've talked themselves into believing Acuna will fix everything.

Unfortunately, the front office was among this group of people.

Adding Acuna and Strider could really help. They may not cure all ills, but two all stars can sure help.

Acuna doesn't suddenly make this offense good, it just makes it slightly less bad.

Yeah it's not like he's gonna be able to drive himself in while he's on base. This offense sucks. Just a complete mismanagement of the roster all around.
