Can you read you stupid frick? I said maybe try something different instead of running Julio Tehran’s sucking arse back out there for the umpteenth season. I’d rather take my chances with a veteran arm that was once great instead of Julio who provides zero value for this team getting past the NLDS

let's replace an under 4 ERA with an over 6 ERA just to "try something different".
Braves gonna get Jester Felix and win the whole fricking thing next year

No, we dont have all the answers, but we are also not the ones naming a pitcher that has been worth 0.4 WAR over his past 300 innings, and is old and injured.
Your point about bringing in a buy low candidate could be a descent option, but maybe just do a little research on who is available like last year when we got Anibal Sanchez. Someone that pitched much better than his stats said and got unlucky, or someone that might have been injured(not long history of injury).
Michael Wacha, while not a top option, could fit the bill. Injured for a lot of 2018, had set backs at the end of last year and this year, and it could be one of the big reasons he was so bad this year. He is a buy low candidate for a bounce back 2020.

This doesn't rectify anything. The fact of the matter is that we didn't make it there and we have to improve. No more financial flexibility bullshite, no more waiting... we have the foundation, we have to build around now, because nothing is promised in this game.
Like I said, the FO and owners need to have an honest conversation (and maybe they've already had it) about how serious they want to compete. It's nice to have this good mix young talent and veterans, all pretty much grown through our farm, but look at any team that has made a WS run by doing the rebuild (Cubs, Astros, etc.) in addition to the foundation, they made a big signing and it was usually a big pitching signing. We have to do that.
I honestly don't see any other way to be a serious competitor in this league.

Just wanted to drop in and wish the Cardinals a happy Columbus Day.

Freeman had 3 bone spurs taken out of his elbow last week

Not really. We dont have the pitching to succeed in the post season.

We routinely beat them this season and that includes multiple outings against Max and Stras.
It was bad enough that the Marlins did it twice, but I don't think I'll be able to handle the Nats winning a World Series in a year where we beat their arse both head to head and in the division.

Nats are a team of destiny. This fricking sucks

The damn Walgreens team is going to win

Regular season is not the post season. Great teams wouldn't lose to the Cardinals

yep
painfully obvious after WC and especially NLDS
we knew they would go through the cards like crap through a goose.

we did. true. means nothing come playoffs. the SHILDT birds used same excuse when i told them the nats would kill them. " oh well we beat them in reg season"
yeah how did that work out cards???

So you're only a great team after the fact?
This is a nonsensical take.

Hopefully the embarrassment of the Nats dunking on our NL East title will wake our owners/FO up and spend real money this offseason.

The Nats, Mets, Phillies, and Marlins have all made the World Series more recently than the Braves.
Yikes.
Yikes.

Not only have they made it, they’ve done it before we even have won a playoff series. All east teams have been to the World Series since we won a series. Pathetic.
