Really good match. Matteo has a howitzer for a serve and forehand, and good touch at net, but mediocre movement and backhand.
Big Foe is +650 at ESPN BET and +890 at Fanduel for the match against Alcaraz.

Shelton on serve early in the fifth.
I didn't see it, but apparently, Hurka dove to go up a set point in the fourth set breaker. He was hurt and played two more points, then defaulted down match point.
I'm amazed by all these foreign college players like the guy playing Djokovic.

He slid pretty hard and they attended to him on the court for a few minutes. Then went and wrapped his knee. He hobbled back out there but you knew there was no way he could finish.

Yeah, I was watching a women's match that was an absolute war (Saville/Kostyuk) and I think Saville ran out of challenges at one critical point. So stupid.
Ben just gutted out a servebot fest in a fifth set superbreaker. The 7-7 point was amazing and Harris floated a relatively easy volley on the next point.

Has Collins always been this much of a head case/sore loser?

Not a doctor and I didn't stay in a Holiday Inn last night, but I wouldn't be surprised if he tore something the way he was moving. You always hear "you can usually walk on an ACL tear", and the way he could barely put weight on it at first looked really bad. Hope he's not out for an extended time.

Looks like we might have our next Isner in the making. 20 year old Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard has the biggest serves on tour, his average 1st serve is 135 mph. He struggled with DFs previously but in his defense he was still a rookie. Had 51 aces vs Korda in R1, becoming only the 7th player in history with 50+ aces in a match.

Yeah, he he looked good against Shelton last week and Korda earlier this week.

Nice tribute here for Sir Andy.

His biggest issue is that 1H backhand. A lot of short neutral balls because his backhand seems to be him sticking the racket out there and hoping for the best.
I still think his power has a lot to do with playing with low tension with his size. You can kind of tell based on the way the ball leaves the racket. Or maybe I'm wrong and he is that strong.
Does lower tension make it harder to hit a good slice? Maybe he can use the Cressy method and have one racket for service games and another for return.

First set to Foe against Alcaraz.

I thought first set was done when Alcaraz broke, just got back to my desk to see Foe won that first one. Saw the highlight of Francis casually putting away the Alcaraz tweener. Good for him, nothing against Carlos and don't want Djok to win and taking Carlos out would be huge for him, but would love to see an American advance with a big win.

Carlos got sloppy at the end of the first. One set apiece now.

Tiafoe breaks to go up 3 to 4 in the 3rd

Nakashima wins the 3rd to stay alive.

Good spot to live bet young Carlos

Set point for Tiafoe in the 3rd after a terrible unforced error by Carlos going long
Miss hit by Tiafoe takes them to duece
ETA: Tiafoe takes the 3rd!
