I'm sure this .500 stretch is super meaningful to the overall grand scheme of things and has lots to do with what will happen in playoffs!
Sucks for OKC tho. With the 6-6 stretch (had actually slid before the Finch deal, but would hate to mess up the narratives here), they "fall" to 30-7, 4 games up in stacked West, with the current highest point diff. in NBA history.

Bro the Thunder were middle of the pack in free throws to begin with despite leading the league in drives in the paint. They’ve always been top of the league in fouls called.
Good luck bringing logic here. The MSB NBA Casuals are equally retarded to the people of r/NBA. Just braindead for the most part.

I know this thread will spam SGA fouls but this idea they’re getting a soft whistle that determined their success is just bullshite with no statistical merit at all.
Current NBA leaders in drives to basket per game:
1. Deni Avdija — 20.4 drives/g
2. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander — 17.9 drives/g
3. Jaylen Brown — 17.4 drives/g
4. Cade Cunningham — 17.0 drives/g
5. Josh Giddey — 16.9 drives/g
6. Kevin Porter Jr. — 15.7 drives/g
7. Devin Booker — 15.6 drives/g
8. Jalen Brunson — 15.5 drives/g
9. Ja Morant — 15.4 drives/g
10. Stephon Castle — 14.8 drives/g
Current NBA leaders in FTA/g
1. Luka Doncic — 12.1 FTA/G
2. Giannis Antetokounmpo — 9.8 FTA/G
3. Deni Avdija — 9.8 FTA/G
4. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander — 8.9 FTA/G
5. Zion Williamson — 8.9 FTA/G
6. Austin Reaves — 8.6 FTA/G
7. James Harden — 8.6 FTA/G
8. Devin Booker — 8.4 FTA/G
9. Paolo Banchero — 8.0 FTA/G
10. Jimmy Butler III — 7.9 FTA/G
Luka is who everyone THINKS Shai is.

It is ironic this has happened since that game two weeks ago. 24-1 before and then 5-5 since - including losing to MIN that night.
That’s the thing man. It’s ironic but again plays no role in the outcome of the game.
Literally outside of still photos of Shai screaming in the lane, there’s no ounce of proof OKC is benefiting from the refs that contributes to winning or losing. NONE
There’s not a shred of evidence in this thread other than people bitching about a make believe narrative.
It’s the weirdest thing because we just suck right now. Like you can dog us for a million reasons. Yet the only one people fixate on is this make believe advantage from the refs

Call them early on certain players for certain fouls and it affects the entire flow of the game. Players have to back off because of foul trouble, they play defense differently on star players opening up the floor for the star players offense etc etc. Then, once the game is in hand, call controlled fouls the other way for infractions to make it appear less obvious.
Again, you’re making a claim with ZERO evidence backing it up. NONE. Sometimes teams win and lose because one team is more talented than the other. It’s not some grand conspiracy where refs are fixing games for the Thunder to not make it look suspicious. The level of detail you’re talking about would simply be too complicated and intricate for multiple groups of refs to pull off.
It’s just THE most brain-dead retarded theory that has ever come up in a message board setting.

OKC fans are the worst. Most one-horse town fans are but they are entitled as they come. They are also OU fans so it all adds up.

Lmao! Again. Just an ounce of proof this is happening. It’s a retarded narrative that you can’t seem to back up.
I don’t give a shite if people hate them because they won. But they won the championship. They’re still the #1 seed in the West (for now) and they’re still going to be the favorites to win it. You’re going to have to accept that

Oh no, the masses hate the best of the best. Truly have never seen this before.
Bummer.
enjoying every second of it.

Luka leads the league in FTA per game because he plays for the Lakers. He drove to the basket in Dallas just as much and wasn't rewarded for it.
I mean he's even in LA because the NBA put him there.
A Laker and Dodger fan complaining about OKC getting help. You've got to be kidding me. What a timeline.
