I don't think they can acquire any two pieces that would offset losing Iguodala and Livingston.

But they're so good that they'll still be prohibitive favorites to win in 2018. Now 2019 Finals I think is not a given at all for them.

Jrue likely staying in NOLA. 5 year deal

I know a lot of Pels fans are not a fan of Holiday at a big number but I don't think they really have a choice.

I suppose that is needed for NOLA as they would have limited cap space to sign a replacement for him.

Still don't see how that team is gonna be any good next year

You don't see how a team with two top 15 players is going to be good?

They'll be fine. They will be a playoff team, barring severe health issues. Top 4 seed? Definitely not. Legit WCF competitor? Not that either.

I don't like paying Jrue what they are likely going to pay him (27ish per for 5 years).

He's a good player that does a lot of things well but he's only "great" at defense and versatility.

It is what it is. They are better with him than without him, but its a definite overpay.

FYI, almost everyone assumes this is a package deal with his brother, and that Justin Holiday will get at least part of the MLE.

No. Their roster aside of those 2 is awful. They may have the worst guard play in the NBA

That's just not even remotely true.

You also thought they could challenge Golden State in the first round last year. They ended up losing 48 games.

You're going to have to find me that post so I can take my medicine. I pretty consistently said on this and other boards that people were making too much of the Cousins trade and that it would take some time for it to work out.

shite, I posted on RealGM a bunch of times that this team challenging the Warriors was ludicrous.

I see the Pels as a fringe playoff team right now, but that obviously depends on how some dominoes fall this offseason for other teams in the West.

As for Iguodala, I still am of the opinion that he stays in GS when the dust settles.

I keep tabs on my sources. This guy has been impeccable I will give him a demerit for this one. Nbd. When GH heads to Miami that will be another check mark since we called that one months ago.

I'm looking through all of my posts on this board post-boogie and I don't see anything resembling me saying that.

In fact, there are several posts praising the Rockets organization and saying that the wins they will get is overblown and they have to prove it on the court.

Anyway, they played really well post-Boogie once they "figured it out" and before they shut it down. Boogie was also dealing with an Achilles issue and was in pretty poor conditioning.

I see them as a 5-8 seed lock. If they don't make it then at least Demps and Gentry will be fired. It is what it is.

I mean if we can snag a couple decent bench pieces, a good 3 point shooter, and stay healthy (lol) I don't see how they won't be at least .500 too much talent.

If they do all of that then they will win 50 games.

Teams with two top 15 players win, its just how the NBA works. They are better than people are giving them credit for, but not anywhere near as good as they should be. Like I said 5-8 seed. They should be better, but they won't be.
