If that deal is on the table, the Cavs better hope that McDonogh doesn't wake up between now and the 2nd, and take that deal as quickly as possible. Bledsoe and Irving is basically a swap, Jackson could start at SG to allow Pipe to come off the bench for some scoring.
I'm just one that's all for trades and players signing with new teams. I like a changing landscape, makes things more entertaining on here and to watch on TV

It's happening.
Crabbe to BKN for Nicholson.
This trade kickstarts the melo deal.

They should have just let them have him first time around

PDX can now take on ryno and have less of that luxury tax burden.

It was actually this thread on page 146:

Over on Clutchfans there is this lawyer who is an amateur capologist. He's very good with all that stuff and he determined the team that makes the most sense based on cap sheets is the Brooklyn Nets.
So the third team is most likely the Nets. They need a PF. Other teams keep matching their free agent offers even though they are overpaying big time. And they have the cap space for it. He said the player they were most likely looking to move and find a 4th team for is Andrew Nicholson.

It's the reverse there. Getting Crabbe means taking on more money for Brooklyn. It's Portland getting rid of Crabbe that opens that door. Portland has already waived Nicholson and is spreading that out over a few years

That was my second thought lol.
But it seems that Brooklyn and Portland are the two teams people suspected would be involved in a trade.

Lol yeah, I don't think Brooklyn would want to add both Crabbe and Ryno's contracts onto their pay sheet. That's going a little too far to just be a facilitator for a trade
God, I forgot Brooklyn has Mozgov for $15.2 mil, DeMarre Carroll for 14.8 and Lin for 12 for basically the next two years. How does their GM still have a job?

Yep, pieces are moving .

They can't "take him on", ie absorb him into cap. Even with this deal they are still in the Lux Tax.
So obviously they have to send salary pieces out and those pieces have to be roughly equal to what is coming in.

hes taking on assets at the costs of those contracts... 1st for Carroll and D'Angelo for Mozgov
they have to room to absorb them

Yea they have the second highest payroll in the league, Ibrc. It lessens the tax bill. I'm no guru today but I'm working to become a pretty decent salary cap expert.

What's important to note is that after July 10 or 11, the Nets can make an offer for him.
I believe if Crabbe is moved this offseason, it'll be to the Nets
