That's cute. How many thousands of miles away did you grow up from Los Angeles?
I am currently 2,132 miles from Los Angeles. I have attended multiples Lakers fixtures at Staples Center along with six other venues so far. I am a bandwagoner of nearly 22 years now. Ced Ceballos, Nick Van Exel and Eddie Jones were my original favorite Lakers before the Kobe/Shaq era.
Was that a sufficient self wiki, Matthew?

It's about what I expected and I assume you also grew up 2,000 miles from Los Angeles. I hope your bandwagoning gives you optimal self satisfaction.

I have been a Lakers fan since I was 6 and it's all I know, so yeah I'm pretty happy with how things have went for the most part despite the past four seasons. Future is certainly looking up tho

That's enough loyalty for me.

Boom's casual fan side congress out when he talks spurs. It's probably my favourite NBA thing to laugh at on this board.
Also tbird, you're late with the Manu block pic.

such a casual fan take to peg them as second Rd exits last year while they were in the midst of winning 65 games. And some out there thought they could take down GSW IN WCF. Master B made em say uh with the second Rd exit pick.

Your laughs congress out when you see the alternate spelling doesn't it.

I'm pretty sure the male "Rule of 3" comes into play here. Multiple / 3 = once. 6/3 = 2. Still better than almost all other Lakers fans outside LA. I'll allow it.

How do you feel about all those Lakers fans in New Orleans?

You are a national treasure, boomy

I mean you're the king of "moral victories", so here's one.
It was to OKC. When it came to OKC-SAS, its always a toss up. OKC was also the team that went up 3-1 to a 73 win team and CHOKED away.
Losing to OKC was respectable.
Losing to a playoff team without 2 of their best players...that's shameful.

The bandwagoners of new "championship" teams can go DIAF. its VERY annoying when GS/CLE come to town and the arena turns into an away game.
But at the same time, this team has only been around for what...15 years? I know people around here who have been fans of other teams since the 90s and kept with them even though we have our own now.

Smdh at one of the better NOLA fans.

quote:That's me. I was born in New Orleans and lived there as a kid in the 90's. I became a fan of the Rockets in the 90's before New Orleans had a team because my dad would go to Houston on business and he'd sometimes take us with him and we'd go to Rockets or Astros games.
But at the same time, this team has only been around for what...15 years? I know people around here who have been fans of other teams since the 90s and kept with them even though we have our own now.
Then we actually moved to Houston (still before N.O. had a team) and of course I remained a fan.
So I'm sure there are a lot of other people who were fans of other teams before New Orleans got the Hornets in what... like 2002?
