That’s my question. You would think the immediate response would be push the narrative that Meyer did what he was supposed to do.
They could’ve said “Coach Meyer notified the proper people back in 2015 and we consider his involvement in this legal matter concluded. We will continue the independent investigation of this issue to determine if there was any kind of breakdown in the process.”

Bingo, and it's not like he misspoke, he went out of his way to ask why anyone would make up a story like that.
It's pretty interesting the mindset he was in when he decided to do this press conference.

Just how am I being blinded by my fandom in that statement? If he reported, he fulfilled his job requirement and will be fine. If he didn’t, he should and will get fired.
