No one’s worried these double-drags just want his head on a stick with no actual argument that would hold up in court

With the current administration, it wouldn't surprise me. The good news is that if Urban gets fired, Gene Smith would also likely be fired. At worst, that's a draw.

Wrong. Meyer has know about this for three years... at least..... you are no better than him.... question .... if you were lucky enough to be married, would you beat your wife and hope your buddy let you slide to keep your job?????

I’m not Urban Meyer though, Peej, and apparently he elevated the issue to the proper authorities as required by Title IX so suck a dick! Also hiring and firing is a coaching discretionary function, if UM elevated the issue to the proper authorities and they let him off you can’t really argue he abdicated duty from a legal perspective.

Wait.... So YOU think it was OK for CUM to keep this wife beater on his staff????? If you don't think he knew about it then why did he report it???? So what you are saying is that CUM is OK with having a coach on his staff that is a wife beater????? Sounds like YOU support CUM for covering up A wife beater... So sounds like you are in favor of spousal abuse.....
Adds up to me.......
You even supporting this scumbag amazes me..... Its really sad............

all he did was lie to the media and apologized afterwards that’s not good enough to forfeit someone $38 million in any context without risking a lawsuit
Yea, that’s “all he did”

He’s gone. Just like Bobby Petrino. He signed the contract. He faces these moral obligations & he failed at just about every turn. You think lying to the media is his biggest problem & you are calling me a fool. Lol

WTF does that have to do with the subject at hand?
You should take your butt hurt to a tOSU board.

You must be talking about Zach Smith hahaha UM followed policy as required by Title IX and did fire him we have to remember that at the end of the day, all he did that may have violated the contract was “lie” and as President Clinton showed the world, words can have multiple meanings and can be misconstrued so he can argue he didn’t violate anything and contest a for cause firing, don’t come back here ever again with your nonsense, you biased-arse double-drag.

How so? Prove your case, That's Zach Smith not Urban, Urban fulfilled his Title IX and contractual obligation when he was apprised of the 2015 allegations purportedly he let the investigators do their jobs like he said at media days, he didn't cover it up.

He reported it to the proper authorities when apprised of it and then acted accordingly, I'd say that conforms

So YOU think it was OK for CUM to keep this wife beater on his staff?????
From my perspective, no, but he did report it when apprised of allegations as required under his contract and Title IX and let the process play out, really depends on how much he knew of the extent of Smith's spousal abuse maybe we'll learn that extent in time.
quote:
If you don't think he knew about it then why did he report it????
Probably based off the circumstantial evidence that implies he was apprised of it by Shelley and confronted Smith about it, he claims he reported it we shall see
quote:
So what you are saying is that CUM is OK with having a coach on his staff that is a wife beater?????
See first point, we don't know the full extent of what Urban Meyer knew and how that was embodied, context plays a big role bc for all we know he was conveyed this info via hearsay, gonna have to let the process play out before rendering judgment

Preciate the libelous remarks, Peej, maybe I like affording people due process before rendering judgment

Except no one investigated, he knew no one investigated, the bigger question is why no one investigated, & why Smith was allowed to stay on staff.
That’s If he even reported it at all
Ohio St isn’t embarrassed or ridiculed by Zach smith. Imagined if he would have been fired in 2015. It wouldn’t have been a shite storm.
Now 3 years later, Meyer “didn’t know about it”, then all of a sudden oh yea he knew about it. Ok, well that doesn’t look good for him either, even if he reported it. He kept the guy on staff & ignored the fact that it was never investigated. Knowing that the same thing happened in 2009. That is mind blowing. He’s the head coach & highest paid man at the school. To say his obligation is to only report it is insane, especially given the wording of his contract I posted above.

No it isn't but you're obviously one of those liberal media types who think coaches should be the police and all that stuff, the whole point of that boilerplate contractual language are that these allegations AREN'T COVERED UP and are reported to people with the requisite investigative skill to handle it, according to him he did and now the buck falls on the AD and ostensibly Title IX coordinator, if they didn't do anything or investigate then they'll face more hell than simply termination that I can assure you, Urban did his fricking job and didn't cover it up you retard, grow a brain-not grounds for for cause termination that would be airtight against a BoC lawsuit.

Yes they are you idiot, his behavior is the direct cause of all of this

Where are the reports that there was no investigation? Maybe there was an investigation and they let him stay anyway.
