None of these leagues will work…furthermore, none of these leagues will work without a franchise in Ohio. For the life of me, I can’t figure out how there has not been a franchise in Ohio when Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati have all rated in the top 5 for these leagues. Complete failure…

If I’m not mistaken, didn’t Pittsburgh and New Jersey actually play in Canton?

Agreed. The USFL has been a pretty good product
I think the USFL has been successful with the hub model as well, though it may be time to move on from that.
There are 16 teams between the two leagues.
USFL
Birmingham (hub)
Memphis (hub)
Michigan (hub)
New Orleans
Houston
Pittsburgh
Philadelphia
New Jersey
XFL
DC
Seattle
St. Louis
Las Vegas
Arlington
Orlando
Houston
San Antonio
The only duplication I see is with Houston. Maybe one of the Houston teams “moves”to Canton, or one of the USFL teams that were “hubbed” their does is renamed and one of the Houston teams goes somewhere else.
I wonder if, since losing the Raiders, Oakland would support a team.

Both of them sucked. XFL lost a fortune. USFL had the terrible hub model, and although it had the better tv deal of the two with more games on national networks, they were still only drawing 500-750k for games on stations like Fox and NBC, their games on FS1 and USA sometimes drawing as little as 100k.
I think spring football can work, if they keep it simple. Non-NFL markets where there is more of an appetite for pro football (i.e. St. Louis). Why on earth if you live in Houston for instance after months of mediocre NFL and college football in the city would you then want to go and watch minor league stuff? Only the football diehards would even consider it.
They also need the NFL's blessing, to assist with marketing and a pathway for players. If they have all this then I think, maybe it can have a place.
A fresh name wouldn't hurt to rid the stench of these leagues too. XFL is a dumb name which sounds like its from an xbox game in 2003. Both names are legacies of failure too.

Still would prefer the Arena League of 20 years ago, that’s a different product and the quality of play drop off isn’t quite so glaring. XFL/USFL is just bad and boring.
Unfortunately the Arena League got a reputation as something well-off people wouldn’t support…

Apparently might move gamblers to Austin or somewhere else

USFL was profitable last year. It was the XFL that lost money (which should be expected b/c it was in year 1 as a start up league)

Gamblers have the history in H-Town.

What would they do with the 2 Houston teams? (Gamblers and Roughnecks)
The GambleNecks will rule the USFL division for a decade.

Omaha had huge fan support in the “Spring League”. Would like to see them get a USXFL team
