I wonder if CBS would have it in the works to move Todd Blackledge over with Nessler to keep that team together. That would be interesting. A lot of you children probably don't remember that the old CBS team was Verne and Blackledge until Blackledge moved to ESPN after 2005 and CBS hired Gary.

Didn't Danielson do the BCSNG against OU in 2003? I think he was paired up with Mushmouth then, on abc if I remember correctly.

Vern sucks, terrible play man who made loads of mistakes every game and was annoying along with being a Bama homer. I'm glad he's leaving. Stayed too long as it is.

Hating on Verne is just the cool thing to do around here. He loves bama and hates LSU because...vocal tone.
Guy's been an A-list broadcaster for decades and has won numerous awards. Probably Brad Nessler's role model. He deserves a lot more respect than he gets around here....but who am I kidding? #rant.

I like Verne, he has a great voice and a good sense of humor. All of the posters that are saying he's a Bama homer when they play LSU, might want to go back and remember how poorly we compete against Bama. Verne's just doing his job and he does it well, even if he makes a few mistakes.
Brad Nessler is really good, as is Joe Tessitore. The worst is the female play by play announcers. They're not fun to listen to. There are 2 of those, right?
