So its okay to have a name which honors Blacks but not native Americans.

Ok.

Do you think referring to Native Americans as "Redskins" is a good way of honoring them?

Redskins is in no way flattering. You're literally singling out a group based on the color of their skin and it's been condemned by that group for decades.

that's your brainwashed, biased opinion. how do you explain the fact the name was picked by a "native" american who thought otherwise?

Why not the DC Redcoats and the mascot can be one of our many traitorous government officials. They can be the NFL version of a heel.

I don't like it that corporate America is forcing this change.

That said I like the Redtails name and the concept design. While the SJW will like the fact the name honors an AA group. What will drive them crazy, and what I like, is that the name honors an actual military unit who achieved significant honors in WAR!

There's a big line between Redskins or Indians and a name like Braves or even Chiefs
Why not just come up with some other Native American name and keep the logo and everything else the same?

shite, just remove the indian head and replace it with an R like they used to do in the early 70s

I was thinking the exact same thing. I guess they might have to take the feathers off but maybe not.

I don't care either way, but I think the point was it was not honoring the natives of this land by calling them...well you know.

RedTails sounds like a Disney concept and Red Wolves?

What's the connection to D.C.?

Those would be as bad as the Wizards.

Do you think caving to the mob is advisable?

It could have been done any time if it is sooooo offensive.

This time the mob wins, but I am sure they will stop asking for shite.

So it’s cool if they’re named the Whiteskins? Right?

I'm guessing you're a typical white lib ? My great grandmother was 100% Cherokee Indian, her favorite team was you guessed it, The Washington REDSKINS. The More Soy Board won't like this but it's the truth. The country has gone down the shitter listening to white liberals and communists posing as 'progressives'.
