Best receiver is Jakobi Meyers and no Lattimore.

Okay but that "career clipboard holder without Bill" narrative prevalent on here (mainly from Saints fans) doesn't hold up...

Sure but your theory on protecting Belichek has two glaring weaknesses:
1.) he pushed Brady out. Furthermore, did a shite job trying to keep him happy
2.) he had YEARS to develop a decent back up to Brady. Traded them all away.
Brady played there for two decades

When did Drew Bledsoe become a scrub? Bill B was 5-13 with him as a starter.
Bledsoe was awful the one season he had with BB

Belichick has been awful every season without Brady.

They've played good teams well this year but the Pats are 2-8 in their last 10.

True, but how was his record before the GOAT arrived? He was 42-58. Also, he has been to a total of two playoff games without Brady. He’s won one playoff game without Brady.
Brady has four playoff wins and a Super Bowl without a Belichick. Meanwhile, Belichick has one playoff win and winning percentage of 42% prior to GOAT arriving.
You know how I know you don't know football?

No he hasn't.

Because I look at statistics to support my argument and you just believe people that make stuff up? He’s won 45% of his games in ten seasons without Tom.

He’s below .500 in 10 seasons without Brady. That’s not good at all. 45% winning record is not awful? What do you consider awful?

Brady was Trent Dilfer/Brad Johnson in his first super bowl season
Bill proved right then and there he could win with simply a game managing average QB.

He's the best defensive minded head coach in the game that is apparently not an all-time GM like everyone thought.
Brady really made all those draft "steals" on offense look a lot better than they actually were. You can't really expect a rookie QB to have that kind of affect, even if he is playing very well for a rookie.

That's not the same as saying "he's been awful every single season without Brady."

I’m not going to look it up, but I would guess Bill might be the last head coach to win a super bowl with a Qb that averages under 200 yards per game

I stand corrected. He did have one winning season without Brady.

I will not call Belichick a fraud just yet. However, that anonymous assistant who came out a few years ago and claimed that it was the system and not Tom Brady that made their dynasty go was smoking crack. The last two years is proof enough that you can't just plug and play any old QB in New England and be a playoff contender. Brady was a huge part of that system because of his work ethic and leadership.

Belichick isn't a fraud, but I think Brady was covering up some of his deficiencies as a GM. He cannot draft WRs to save his life, and I think he also needs someone to push back on Josh McDaniels ultra conservative nature.
