I absolutely think that Howard is more capable of being a critical piece on a championship team than Marc Gasol.

Well that's not an answer to my question. Carefully worded evasion.

Marc's FG % is lower because he actually takes mid range jumpers. His only shot isn't a dunk.
You say that like it's a point for Gasol. That would make him inferior if he can only settle for less efficient shots.

Let's just be real. Do you REALLY think that Dwight is currently a better all around player than Marc Gasol?

Do you really think that?

Yes

Dwight is better than Gasol. Dwight looks beastly in the playoffs. Marc has been bad the last two years.

How about free throw percentage?

How many times does the coach have to bench Gasol at the end of games for his lack of contributions from the charity stripe?

because it makes his argument look bad that Dwight is a liability at the FT line at the end of a game and Marc is one of the better FT shooters in the NBA

So let me get this straight... Dwight averages a lot more rebounds, more points at a much better FG%, more blocks, yet Marc Gasol is a better center because he averages 2.6 more assists and is a better free throw shooter...

he's a better defender, a better facilitator, a better shooter, and a better player. Marc's PER is 17th in the NBA. Dwight is 53rd, below Zach Randolph.

In the playoffs the past 2 years, Marc Gasol's PER is 18.6

Dwight's is 22.3

In the regular season the past 2 years, Marc Gasol's PER is 20.2

Dwight's is 20.6

You lose.

If that's the main thing Gasol has over Howard, then that is a pretty weak argument.

For me it's just the fact that Dwight is a huge pussy and his attitude annoys the shite out of me. That's why I don't like Dwight...

We aren't talking about who you like. We are talking about who is a better player in the playoffs.

If Dwight is such a huge pussy, I can't imagine what Marc is with his less than 10 rebounds per game.

Howard is the premier defender of the last decade in the league.

I'll take player A, because player B will never win the NBA finals.

And you think Marc Gasol is going to win one? With the Grizzlies?

He might, Dwight definitely won't, though.

Would you bet your life that the Rockets won't win a championship in the next two years?

Ty Lawson/ Patrick Beverley/ Jason Terry
James Harden/ KJ McDaniels/ Marcus Thornton
Trevor Ariza/ Corey Brewer
Donatas Motiejunas/ Terrence Jones
Dwight Howard/ Clint Capela

Grizzles have tons of momentum heading into next year following their biggest win in franchise history in the semis last yr vs. the eventual champs.

I wouldn't bet my life on anything, but that doesn't mean that it's going to happen.

Dwight will never win an NBA championship

I like how people act like "so and so will never win a champion" is a bold statement. A vast majority of players will never win a championship.
