It's pretty remarkable how awful the SEC is this year

Wichita can't score. No offense down low, streaky outside shooting team.

They aren't anywhere near what they were the last few years. If you really look at their résumé, they shouldn't even be in this tournament.

Vandy should miss another bunny or free throw.

Just one more.

To be fair Vanderbilt was the 5th place SEC team (counting tie-breakers).

Wichita State's defense (No. 1 in KenPom; has been very good over the last few seasons now) is good enough to keep the Shockers in a lot of games.

That being said, if Arizona can feed Ryan Anderson and Kaleb Tarczewski in the post consistently, the Wildcats should have no problem stretching their lead out later in the game and come out with the W.

I think I saw that Wichita st is leading the pack by a large margin in hours of tournament time by players on the roster. In other words, Wichita st has a lot of players who won't be affected by the lights

Which means they'll probably get hot and make a sweet 16 run

I'm biased because I'm an alum (still very objective), but Wichita State has the most experienced back court in the country. Teams that do well in the tourney usually have just that. They played their game last night and once the shots started falling, it was over. Definitely no fluke, that's their game. Plus Vandy sucked.

Like they have all year, WSU will struggle vs the zone when shots aren't falling. If teams man them and they can get out in transition they will be a tough out. I do think their ceiling this year is the Sweet 16. They just don't have the depth, but they're not going out without a fight.
