You dont make up some bizarre subplot in the 23rd installment, and expect it to fly with the fan base

Did the fanbase revolt after Skyfall when this bizarre subplot was introduced or did that movie make over a billion dollars?

Seriously?

How much did the Last Jedi make? Did what happen IN THE MOVIE affect its take at the box office? Likely not. But what happened to the rest of Star Wars after that movie?

Skyfall $304,360,277 (2012)
Spectre $200,074,609 (2015)
No Time to Die $160,891,007 (2021)

Notice anything?

By what metric should we judge a movie then? It was a huge box office hit, critics and audience scores are both over 85%.

Doesn’t seem like anyone had an issue with this subplot.

Ms. Pugh has the same sex appeal as Ronda Rousey. Which isn't much.

not sure what the story line will be. Moneypenny comes to office, makes tea, types, takes messages, flirts with Bond. Goes to happy hour and gets picked up by some guy and gets railed while she imagines its Bond...rinse repeat.

Would rather see a show on Felix or Q

You're comparing a movie everyone loved to one that was, at best, incredibly divisive.

Spectre $200,074,609 (2015)
No Time to Die $160,891,007 (2021)

So, these grosses went down because Moneypenny went on missions in Skyfall? Not because they were universally acknowledged as massive steps down in quality?

Also, what if we didn't start threads on obvious junk rumor articles created (and then also regurgitated) by known fabricators of obvious junk rumor articles?

They are adapting a book series that was written a couple decades ago. If it wasn't an issue for anyone then why is it an issue now?

Lulz

Moneypenny on missions which was never hinted in 20+ prior films (and books)

Bond may have been bisexual. Again zero history for that, Also, Bond suddenly loses his interest in Bond girls

People knew where it was likely headed after Skyfall. And indeedd we eventually got a black female 007, and a ghey Q

Who predicted spinoffs and oversaturation leading to the destruction of the IP in the thread about Amazon taking over. That prediction took about two days to come true.
